Hardley a dumpster fire. In a great year the WCC could probably be around 6 or 7 on here:

They are 9 right now, which isn't bad. Best 3 point shooting conference in America. Strong mid-tier. The best teams in the conference aren't as strong this year, but still could do damage in the NCAA tourney.

Neither team is very good and deserves to be in the tournament.

BYU has underachieved IMO.

While Krisco has improved the program, I don't think he helped anything by playing so many cupcakes in the preseason.
