Can the Alec Burks experiment please end?

His contract was a huge reach and a big gamble IMO, and I love Burks. We'll see if he lives up to it.

It definitely doesn't look good tho. The Jazz overpay on potential for a guard that gets hurt right after he inks the deal. He could've gone into FA and the Jazz could've picked him up for waaaaaaaay cheaper. DL fumbled on this one unfortunately.

It was a gamble. I think Jazz FO thought Burks would put up big numbers this year since he would be responsible for a good chunk of scoring. The injury really set him back. This contract is far from over though. There is a good chance he comes back next year and plays great and earns his contract.

I think the Jazz probably lost this gamble but they made the right gamble. I think if they were in the same position with another player they would make the same gamble. Sometimes it doesnt work out but that does not mean it was the wrong choice.

Just like the Jazz could count on Hayward going into free agency and getting way less. Oh wait...

Alec was lucky Kobe's corpse only played 20 minutes last night and he didn't have to be guarded, or be guarded. All those assisted buckets were nice too.

Well Burks passing seems much improved. His vision seems much improved.

This and him being more under control. No more catch and dribble sideways. The mental side of his game seems much improved. He always had the athleticism, length, and skills to be good. His shot looks better too, but he had worked on that last year.

He is lucky. This way ESPN gets to highlight his plays where he embarrasses Kobe during the season when everyone is paying attention.
