Can the Jazz stop the Golden State Warriors winning streak?

Assuming the Warriors beat the Kings tonight, they will extend their winning streak to 18 games. The next game will be against the Jazz on Monday at the Vivint Arena.

Gobert & Co. will be very motivated to stop the Warriors winning streak. If that happens, they would send a big messsage to the league that the Jazz could be the surprise team of this season. In addition it would be a big boost to their self-confidence.

I say it's very possible, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Golden State is an amazing team right now.

The crazy thing is that every single team has to be thinking this same thought when they play Golden State, and then the Warriors just march onto the court and break their will. Yes, it would be a huge accomplishment if the Jazz beat them, but I sure don't see it happening. They have been on a completely different level than us so far.

This game will forever be known as the Black Jesus game.

Jazz by 2.

To be honest the Warriors are clearly the better team at this point. It's really unlikely they go 82-0, so they have to lose to somebody along the way. I think it definitely be good for the team, though they know they can beat great teams already.

I think the league would view it more as the Jazz being the lucky ones to catch them on an off night. To be true giant slayers you have to beat them in a series.

Having said that,

I don't like our odds any time we face a dynamic point guard.

We just beat CP3

We can beat them if the defense has a career night and we get another like effort from Hayward from the clipper game. And Gobert and Favors need to be beasts.

Also, is Curry the best player in the league? Has he passed or will pass LBJ for best in the world. Could he pass MJ as greatest of all time. If this GS team stays together, and the way they are playing they could get on a similar career path as the 90's Bulls. Is that crazy to think?

Curry is in his 7th season--maybe halfway done if health allows.

Maybe this year being Curry's 7th yr and LBJ's 13th Steph may be the better player. He is certainly not the consensus best as has been the case with LBJ for years and was with MJ for many years as well. It has been a long time since we have had a player/team dominate a decade. Bulls 90s, Lakers 80s.

I would be shocked if Curry/Thompson/Green can win another 5 rings. I think they can do it for a couple more seasons before a contract, injury or simple career dropoff that dooms their dominance. Now if they could draft a Gobert at the end of the 1st round or pull of some lop-sided trade that could change everything.

Took MJ 7-8 years to get his first title. Don't ever see Curry leaving. Thompson is on a long term deal. There is plenty of time for them

Probably not but it is going to be fun watching them try. I hope they succeed and that Go!bert blocks the **** out of some of their players.

I think Curry, for just this stretch of games, is playing better than anyone in NBA history.

The reason they won't remain on a similar path as the 90's Bulls is that they came along in the wrong era. As good as they are, they will never be able to overcome the Exum led Jazz.

Anybody else want some of this Koolaide or am I going to have to drink the entire vat all by myself?
