The players you suggested were wings. If you trade him for one of those you have to also trade Hayward + Burks/Exum as a result. Are you confident you can get fair market value on Hayward's expiring and Exum/Burks post injury? I'm not.
If you read closely I said 'Klay, Kawhi or any top 15 player'. That includes every position. My point was that you may consider trading Favors to net you a better player, regardless of position. You are only willing to trade him for KD, AD and KAT because of fit issues at other positions?. I disagree with that.
Then you kind of contradict your self saying "Basketball is a positionless game" but then you are only willing to trade Favors for a Center/PF.
Also, I didn't mean trading Favors NOW. I said 'down the line'. You could package him with picks and/or players (and that includes Burks...sorry Fish. If Alec plays well this season he could be a great asset due to his very reasonable contract (same with Favors).
I love Favors and I don't mind him staying here long-term. But if a team with a superstar calls, I would listen (specially if Lyles becomes a stud and a two-way player)
