Carmelo Anthony Traded to the Knicks.

Knicks get better, but not title contenders by any means. They did well in this, not for this year, but the future. They didn't have to give up a superstar to get one. Felton is good, but superstars like Melo and Amare are tough to come by.

How did a team that just traded away all of it's upside do well in this in the future?

Minnesota is the most pathetic franchise in the NBA, by far. Not only did they get involved in this trade, but they traded away Corey Brewer for Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph. How many more terrible trades/draft picks is this organization going to make?

Granted Corey Brewer wasn't anything special to begin with, why in the hell would they take on Eddy Curry's ***?

They absorb Curry's contract (which is mostly paid now 55 out of the 82 games and probably will buy out now) and are far enough under the cap to avoid any luxury tax. Corey Brewer's contract was up and probably only part of the deal to keep Minnesota under the cap still. They pick up a young guy(Randolph) who is under contract for the next 2 years (If there is a next year) for just cash basically. He had some promise but hasn't played much behind Amare in NY.

Good job, Carmelo Anfernee! You'll be popular in NYC for a season, and you're gonna sell an asshat of jerseys. That city is just licking its chops for the #9 seed!

I know there is the whole CBA thing but Carmelo should have just gone into the summer a FA and signed with the Knicks. Now he is knick but they have no depth at all.

Shows how little some players actually care about winning. They say it's priority #1, but they are lying. You already have enough money to provide for your family for generations! Even if you wait you're still going to get 10+ million a season. Tim Duncan took a little less money so SA could put more talent around him, is he begging on the street for money?
