Carroll signing bugs me no end

Keenly disappointed that no deal has happened yet as a result of the Carroll signing. Expected (hoped) something was very near. I don't want to carry this guy on the roster unless it leads to something which will improve the team. Carroll as a stand alone addition to this team makes less than no sense. He would either not be used at all, ala Jamal Tinsley (which is pointless) or he would be one more body taking playing time when there is not enough to go around. Not at this juncture of the season especially. Realize that he could be part of a trade down the line, but don't want this team aimed at " down the line". A deep and growing mistrust is growing in my heart for everyone from Greg Miller down through TyCo. Troubles me enough that i wanted to see what people here think. Either we need to do what needs to be done or commit to re-building by actually developing our young players. Never have believed in Jerry's way of letting young players develop by sitting on the bench. They are not a roll of film.

The impatience on this board is ridiculous. As it has been mentioned in another thread, some players can't even be traded before March 1st. Also, other teams will be making more personell decisions as the deadline gets closer. Some players may become available in March, that are not yet available because teams are still on the fence as to trading them.

The last thing we need to do is get impatient and make some desperate move with the idea of squeaking into the 8th seed. I'm hoping for a trade, but March 1-15 is the time to look for something to happen.

Carroll is signed, and he's the 10th backup to an already over-stocked position.

At best, Carroll beats out Jeremy Evans... Which still doesn't really say much since Evans is collecting more DNPs than actually PT.

A trade will need to be made if one hopes to see Carroll receive any PT.

Not the same thing. Any given sunday is different then winning four 7 game series'.

The lowest seed I think ever was a 6. But, they had Hakeem and Drexler. Not, to many 6 seeds nowadays have those kind of players.

The Lakers are a six seed now, but their role players are garbage. Houston had really good surrounding players.
