What's new

Cars that you like

Give me a good full-size suv people. I don't want a van, but I want 3 rows. Not too expensive either.

I'm in the same market. Thinking about the nissan pathfinder or the Honda pilot. Have to check out that Kia Chris l recommended.

Heh. Ppl always tell me it's a chick car, but I really dgaf. I love the look of it. I love my hatchbacks, and this one handles better than any I've ever driven.

It's actually old people's car.... It's easier to get around town and it's also easier for them to park. Plus young people most of them can't afford a Mercedes, but these old folks have saved up cash and want that added safety.

I see a lot of pensioners driving it here in NZ.

the new 15's are excellent. 3 rows, AWD, they have a turbo model. great MPG and start in the low $20k's. I've driven them to cali and back a few times, if i was gonna buy a new SUV it would be that one.

What kind of mpg?

Buy yourselves a ****ing wagon and call it a day, unless you literally have a wife & 5 children. This whole market-fascination with SUVs perplexes & infuriates me.

I currently drive a 2009 jetta tdi wagon. Gonna have a second kid, and it makes it hard to take any kids friends or our friends in a wagon. I am all about wagons though. I have driven a wagon pretty much my entire driving life.

Here's the thing though, if the Kia gets 25, that's just as good as a subaru, which doesn't have a third row.

I can't tow much with a wagon. Some suv's I can. Plus suv's are nicer family vehicles than wagons.

You're honestly in the strong minority. Maybe it's because I live in Alberta-- but easily 40-50% of the vehicles I see everyday are 24 year olds commuting in SUVs. Irks me intensely.

That's a good point. I mean I'm all for SUVs if they serve practical uses-- a necessity for a third row of seats can't really be worked around. It's the ppl who are like "I wanna feel like I'm drivin high off the pavement" that piss me off. More of a pet peeve.

Road-tripping in cars that are lower to the ground is much more family friendly.

My family did 7000kms of driving last summer in a 4dr Peugeot 508 wagon with a 2.2l Diesel engine. 50, 43, 23, 21, and a 13 year old. Fit perfectly fine, along with six-weeks worth of luggage.

I think Edmongton is just a few years behind. The western US was stuck in SUVs for a long time. Lots of people drive smaller cars here now, or small trucks like Tacomas.
