What's new

Casey Martin rides again at the U.S. Open

I'm not an avid golfer but I play from time to time.

Maybe it's just me; but I never hit well when I ride. I always thought you get a better feel for a course by walking it instead of riding a cart.

It's not that big of deal.

Disagree as I golf. I can understand he has his challenges to walk but there is a definate fatigue advantage in riding vs. walking.

I use a push cart and walking 18 vs. riding is definately more difficult. About hole 14 I start to feel it a bit expecially if it is warm outside. Now I understand these guys have caddies and should be in shape as well but there is an advantage.

With that being said, I am ok with Casey getting to ride. It's not a big deal as the chance that he actually contends is very very slim. Now you throw a Mickelson or Tiger in there and say that one of them needs to ride and all hell would break loose.

Disagree also. Everyone who wants to play should have to play by the same rules. If you can't walk the 18 then you don't qualify.

Walking 18 holes makes a difference. Anyone who says different just doesn't play golf.

I hate golf with a passion, but I agree with this. Rules are rules. This is the same as that TG girl who was born with a dong, but keeps winning long drive contests. Bull **** if you ask me.
