Jazz get: #2, #18 and Wolves Player (Flynn) - draft Williams and Brooks/Jackson/Selby/Jimmer if he drops

Wizards give: #6, #18 and player they want to move
Wizards get: #12 and Jazz Player X (Miles)

Wolves give: #2 and Wolves Player (Flynn)
Wolves get: #3, #6 and a player from the Wizards

Summary:
- Good move for the Wolves, since they would pick a PG at 3 and Biyombo or Valanciunas at 6. This is better than the Cavs/Pistons proposal. They just need to take back a player from the Wizards.

- Okay move for the Wizards if they like Miles, like a player available at 12, and want to move a contract to the Wolves.

- The Jazz get to draft Williams and still pick up a rotation player at 18. They give up Miles and take back Flynn as a back-up. It all depends on how passionate the Jazz are about moving up to take Williams.

I think if I'm the Wizards though, I'd stay at #6 and draft Biyombo, Vesely, Burks, etc.

I guess it depends on who interests you more, Kanter or Williams. For me, I'd rather have Kanter than Williams so it makes no sense.
 
I want to take it a step further and say/ask, has there ever been a stud on a championship team who played not just mediocre defense, but poor? Because that's what it looks like we'd be getting from Williams. One big ****ing headache on the defensive end. And please, no Magic Johnson comments. He wasn't that bad and Williams isn't going to be Magic on the offensive end or playing with Kareem and Worthy.

Good call Detroit fans would be ticked to the max if they give away the 8th pick for nothing but salary relief. If DWill is going to be a 4, Hickson would make sense.
 
Detroit would definitely need to get more out of this than just unload Rip but I think they will as the Cavs have some other assets and so this trade will probably happen. As expected anyway, the Jazz will just have to forget about the DWill2 option and choose between Kanter and BKnight2.
 
Deal's not off. Joe D realizes the PR spin on this will be he cost Detroit the 8th pick with the stupid contract he handed out to Rip. And as Aldridge pointed out, the potential amnesty clause gives him a little leverage. Can't see Cleveland giving him anything of value, though.

I'm pretty sure pleasing Hamilton is quite secondary to saving $25 million in addition to the added cap flexibility. Pretty sure.
 
Williams has real star potential - but a few risks if expectations are that high. I think he's clearly an All-star caliber player though. Lets say Larry Johnson. The other question is how well he'd mesh with our other cornerstone player in Favors. Can they get along better than Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson did?

Kanter and Singleton/Burks/Brooks/Jimmer is a good draft and seems fairly safe.

Amnesy Clause? Could you imagine what Miami Heat will look like after they sign a bunch of over paid vetrans to minimum contracts?

Anyway if I were Cleveland I'd ask for Ben Gordon not Hamilton. It would be better for the Pistons too...if there is an amnesty clause they can get rid of Rip, if not just trade him to a contender at the tradedeadline, or offer him a discounted buy-out so he can feel relevant again.

Cleveland gets a player that can shoot the 3, play point gaurd or shooting gaurd and isn't Baron Davis.
