Cavs will listen to offers for the 1st pick

No. Nor do I believe Schroder's will.
People seem to love to compare size and athleticism.. which is why I hate comparisons.. there's just so many things that go into a player playing at a high level.

CP3(9.8APG) should cruise past Mark Jackson for 3rd in assists, and has a good shot at passing Kidd for 2nd.

i dont see that for schroder, like ive said before i had CP3 rated 99, i have schroder 95.

i think our bigger disagreement is i see these 3pgs in this order

Schroder - Lawson - Burke
you see
Lawson - Burke - Schroder

right?

If Burke is available at #4, Burks + #14 to Charlotte for #4.

I think Orlando may take him at #2 though or Orlando and Charlotte swap McLemore at #2 for Burke at #4. The latter would make the most sense.

Lots of dumb people who want to trade Hayward..... Why!!!! And the idiots that want to trade him or any c4 guy for the right to pick a backup big on our roster is idiotic at best.

As far as leadership goes.... None and I mean none of the c4 were put in any position to be leaders on this team. As Al was the unquestioned leader of the team. More then a few times during the year we all saw Hayward bark at Al for a missed defensive assignment lazy play or just plain bad team offense, and it didn't faze him in the least, because he new Ty was behind him 1000%. At times Hayward was the third or fourth option behind Al, Millsap, and Mo. Favors was way behind Al, and Millsap in minutes and pecking order. Burks had to work himself into the rotation the first half of the year, and Kanter had no business trying to lead playing 10-13 minutes a game.

With Al and Millsap gone I see Hayward coming out of his shell more and more, and see his offense being more consistent in an offense that is less iso, again with Al and Sap gone. Also see Kanter stepping up big as a leader. I am less confident in Favors and Burks.

Hayward will average 18 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds as a starter and focus of the offense. He will not be an All Star this season because the Jazz will not be a strong enough team, but he will prove to be an All Star Caliber player.

Wouldn't trade Kanter, Favors, or Hayward for the #1 pick this year. Wouldn't trade Burks for anything less than #8 (to get McCollum). I'm pretty sure management we'll see it my way as well.

It seems to me that some of you are have too low of a value of Hayward.

He's not only a glue guy for the team, I actually see him having a breakout year this year as long as the "vets" are gone and Corbin doesn't stop him.

I've seen him improve year to year and it's not all in statistical categories. I think he works very well with Favors, as well as Kanter. I think he will get the job done as a/the team leader this coming year.

I would not trade him away for a draft pick, or even a rookie... especially this year. You might be able to talk me into it next year as there seems to be some pretty good team changing players next year if all works out the way we think it might.

I don't think we've seen enough of Favors, Kanter, Burks, and to a lesser extend Hayward when the game is theirs they get the minutes, and they are it in many end game scenarios. I want to see it this year, just as much as we all really wanted to see it this year and didn't. If Corbin feels he has to play the vets.... the front office better make sure there are no vets if they are sticking with Corbin.

We need to get a pg or 2 in the draft and hope one of them works out... I'm just not seeing one that really stands out in all ways for me. I see things I like in Schroeder, Burke, and that white kid from the Dakota's... but I'm unsure on any of the rest. Good thing I'm not in charge of the draft.

Pretty well sums it up for me too.

I still like Burks too much for this, and think we would regret it unless McCollum was an All Star. I could have too high a value on Burks... probably too much punch.

Gordon Hayward's third year stats:

29 mins, 44% fg, 42% 3pt, 82% ft, 3 rebs, 3 assists, 14 pts

29 mins, 47% fg, 37% 3pt, 80% ft, 4 rebs, 4 assists, 16 pts - Manu Ginobili playing with Duncan, Parker, etc.

To give up on Hayward now, is crazy. The guy has potential to be very, very good, and if you can get to the point where he is your third best player, you will be AMAZING and competing for titles. He is cheap and very productive. He is probably the most untouchable guy on the team.

I do it because Burks and Hayward are both best at SG. When playing together they will never be as good as the sum of their parts, one will always be playing a little out of position.

Gordon Hayward is not clutch.

Zach Randolph is not clutch.

when the spurs play these players, they rush, and do terrible.

Gordon Hayward scored 29 points on 6-33 shooting, in 122minutes of playoff basketball.

Got one more from PG_AB somewhere to add...

I think I'd put him in the class of Jamaal Franklin and Caldwell-Pope.

I think if Burks stayed he would have been exposed. He has few basketball skills and his strength in college was sheer athleticism -- he could pull up or drive and jump over anyone at the lower comp. level he was playing at. To this day, his only drive move is a shoulder shiver that doesn't throw any NBA player off balance, and he's not good at stop n go dribble, etc. He has a great body with slightly less leaping than optimal, and that's why he was drafted that high in a very poor draft.

i think its worth noting that Oladipo played for the #1 offense in the nation, with several 5 star recruits and burks played for... colorado, where he played SF/SG... when he is more of a deron type of skillset

Didn't know that Hayward or Randolph played on the Spurs...

Does Hayward play baseball now? I thought he was a wide receiver?

If he hits those numbers he will be in the Allstar game as a reserve.
