i would do it and buy out wallace. He has 1 year at 10 mil left. buy out for like 8 mill
Why on Earth would he accept a buyout? No one wants him at all. Perkins took a buy out because a playoff team wanted him on the roster. Think.

If an extra 1st rounder could land us Hezonja/Winslow/Johnson, then I'd probably rather do that than use our money in free agency anyway.

some one has to think he has value if not then just cut him
If you cut him you have to pay him. This just in, people, even ridiculously rich owners, don't like blowing 10 million dollars just to make a guy leave.
true
there are usually some teams willing to sell their late 1sts for $3M. $10M is way too much. Could fit it under our cap but that would mean no Tomic. Even if Utah had to offer $7M to get Ante here that would be better use of that money. It's worth it if we have no other plans to use our cap-space. He only has a year left on his deal. Do we have 10 million dollars in free cap space? Are we planning on using it? If the answers are yes and no, then it's worth it by default if ownership is willing to spend the $$$.
