1. Devon Harris should be fully healthy; he was dinged up last season, which reduced his effectiveness and PT.
2. Adding Jamaal Tinsley should help us through stretches when either Harris or Watson need some down time or reduced minutes. He's a way better PG than Ronnie Price. Hopefully he's truly matured as advertised.
3. Replacing Kirilenko with Howard will help us offensively as well as defensively. Kirilenko's biggest asset was his help defense, although that sometimes backfired. Drove Sloan crazy at times. If he is at least a shadow of his former self on the court and has really matured as advertised, he'll be a big contributor.
4. Hopefully Raja Bell is fully healthy, as he too battled injuries last season and wasn't himself.
5. Adding Alex Burks should help us with depth; he appears to be a smart solid all-round offensive player willing to work and has the desire to excel. His defense will come in time, which could hold down his PT, at least early in the season.
6. A slimmed down CJ HOPEFULLY will increase his effectiveness both offensively and defensively.
7. Hayward should be stronger and now has a full year of NBA experience.
8. Jeremy Evans now has a year in the NBA too, and supposed has greatly improved his jump shot. He will be our new ENERGY guy off the bench, replacing Ronnie Price in that way.
9. A much improved Derrick Favors, both in strength, size, and basketball skill-level. He's worked hard in the off-season.
10. Millsap has another year, and seems to add new skills every off-season.
11. Al Jefferson has busted his butt this summer to get into better shape and has a year under his belt in a Jazz uniform.
12. Enes Kanter, even as a rookie, should be a huge upgrade over Fes or Elson. The fact we traded Okur indicates he and Favors are gonna see a lot of PT. Kanter is big, hard-working, smart, and tough.
Bottom line - I think KoC has done an outstanding job, but we are young and the wild wild West is very competitve, so we will be inconsistant. Our depth should really help us through the rough spots, so long as coach Ty is willing to pull guys who are struggling and let the bench guys on the floor.
