This really makes me sad. This harsh rhetoric does… what exactly? What’s he trying to accomplish here? This type of speech is corrupting to the soul. This vile act at Uvu has prompted me to reevaluate my own priorities in life as we never know when a gunshot, cancer, car accident, etc might end everything we hold dear. So I truly hope that Kirk’s family finds peace. I hope the shooter meets justice. And that this experience prompts healing and introspection and not more hate.

A pissed off base continues to vote and support the plans of the administration regardless of what's really going on. People like him are the "fluff girls" of politics, their job is to keep people pissed off and unwilling to think beyond what the Dear Leader tells them. In other regimes they were propaganda ministers and the like. Provide fake and alternative facts and keep people mad so they do whatever the leader asks them to do.
