Cheesesteak topping

My wife and I went to Bout Time a couple years ago. I can't remember what I had. I believe I had wings but she probably got the Philly.
Fwiw I have had a lot of things from bout time and all have been very good to excellent. And I think they have my favorite fry sauce (little garlic chunks in it I think)

Mustard or garlic butter is acceptable on steak.
Chimichurri is my favorite on steak. First a pat of rosemary/garlic/blue cheese compound butter followed by a spoon full of herby/garlicky/spicy chimichurri. Not so much to mask the flavor of the steak, so best on big thiccc boys, but just enough to amp up all the flavors. And best on a deeply dry-aged steak. I have my own 45-day dry-aged rib-eyes, 2" thick, and it works great on these.

I am not the biggest fan of mustard on steak, but I do love a creamy horseradish on steaks or prime rib, so I should give mustard a try again. Maybe a good strong whole-grain mustard. Worth a shot.

Chimichurri is also acceptable. I've overnight marinaded rib eyes in it, perfectly acceptable.

Gaetanos, my favorite. Notice that there is giardiniera on there. I brought some from home

I'll have to try their philly. I've had a few of their other sandwiches and they are pretty good. Do you have a preference between locations
Only been to the one on state and like 5800 south.
I hear the onion rings at a different location are really good but sadly they don't have onion rings at that location.
Their jalapeno poppers are really good too.
I want to try their meatball sub but I love their Philly too much to ever try anything else

While drinking a Foster's

No Australian drinks Fosters, honestly you won't find it on tap anywhere in Melbourne. Carlton Draught will be found on tap in 70 percent of bars nationwide, Fosters will be found nowhere.

We had family come over from the UK and my 'uncle' bought a 6 pack of Fosters to dinner, I threw the can he didn't drink out like two years later.

I drink craft beer, you can normally find a decent craft beer on tap in 60 percent of venues. People have some interesting ideas of this place its not what you expect, Melbourne is a UNESCO city of culture the life here reflects that.

That's why you make the tourists drink it
