CJ Miles Close to Signing With Lakers

Crazy that Miles is only 3 years older than our only rookie yet Miles has played 7 more years in the NBA than Murphy.

I really hope this happens. It'll go like this:

CJ will talk about how excited he is, and how he's going to prove mad skills. He'll enter his first game with that stupid grin on his face, and proceed to shoot 4 three pointers in 6 minutes. Kobe will chew the **** out of him, and he'll pout for the rest of the season and end up with 18% FG%.

Pshhhh you guys are haters.

CJ Miles is the best fade-away 3 point shooter in the NBA.
And by 'best', I mean he takes the most.

Seems like a good fit and he should learn a lot from Kobe.

Seriously?

CJ was notorious for being one of the biggest drunks in all of SLC's clubs.

Put him in LA? With Andrew Bynum?

And that's one lethal combination.

Girls, clubs, beaches...

CJ's career as a basketball player is good as over.

Especially once he discovers how limited his role is on that team. I doubt Kobe will even let him touch the water bottle let alone the basketball.

Link? and/or where do you hear stuff like that? I want in.

Very good landing spot for him if it happens. Cleveland would have offered the better opportunity for minutes, but Kobe's example will help him, as will the Lakers system which is much more drive oriented. How much he flourishes is still on him, though. It's zero hour on turning potential into production.

I couldn't care less.

As one of the final CJ fans on this site, I am sooooo done with him I don't care where he goes. I'd still take him over Bell or Howard but since I have no interest in either of them. I don't want anything to do with CJ or any wing that is not a serious upgrade from our current group.

Good for CJ. Role players always do much better with stars. He will probably have some big games this year.

I wonder if the Rockets tried to sign him. If I recall CJ always seemed to light them up then stink the rest of the year.

I don't hate the kid, and I was fine with him re-signing right up until we got Marvin Williams as long as he had a backup role, but now that we have Williams I say byby CJ and good luck, maybe a new system will help.

CJ is not going to be the difference between the Lakers getting and not getting a championship, so no big deal, and actually it'll be interesting to see him four times a year.
