I can't say for sure but I'd imagine candrew calling out women since Trump is a mysogynistic, sexist pig and made comments time and again that showed this. He never did any such thing toward males.

I think there may be a comfort with how open Trump is about this stuff, or how he is incapable of hiding it. PC culture has made people untrustworthy because of how robotic and scripted public officials can be.

Think about it, any time Trump attempts to pass any type of discriminatory (racist/sexist/homophobic/etc) type of policy it's going to be highly scrutinized. Anytime he passes any kind of legislation that may not benefit lower class minorities, it will be scrutinized.

With democrats like Obama there is an assumption that he has the lower class minorities best interest at heart and wouldn't do anything to go against his voter base, which is probably false. That makes for a less politically engaged public.

If you put 10 people in front of me I wouldn't even know who Tim Kaine was. I literally can not remember anything about Tim Kaine other than he could speak Spanish.

Pence, while I hated the choice, secured a huge demographic of the population for Trump.

I don't disagree with how tired people are of the PC world which was probably a fairly large reason as to why he won. People trusted him. That said, I was simply replying as to candrew's point.

(Not that there is anything wrong with Special Olympics. Big fan.)

I agree with this assessment. But I would take it a step further and recognize that most people understand that their personal circle of friends are rarely 100% politically correct, so when a public person is so carefully scripted they come across as completely disingenuous, if not outright dishonest.

He was the head of the DNC back in 2011 before wasserman-Schultz/brazile took over. The theory goes that he was promised the vp spot for stepping down and letting them take over.

Sanders also would have outperformed Hillary among black voters for the same reasons he would’ve outperformed her among all voters: she was a corrupt, decadent, cold, militaristic avatar of a failed status quo who had no argument for her candidacy other than “TRUMP! BAD!!!!” — this despite seeking the presidency for literally 10 years.
