Clippers be cheating

Mark Cuban just excited/happy to be in a NBA discussion again
IDK... he defended Sterling and then had a huge corrosive work place settlement with all sorts of allegations. Also should be noted that Dirk once took a $67M discount to end his career with the Mavs... has stayed on in a consulting role since he retired. Gee.... I wonder if there was some side money somewhere promised to Dirk...

I think Cuban is just a blow hard and Pablo is absolutely owning him... his pride won't let him just stop and his confirmation bias is wild. Like all of the facts are on Pablo's side pretty obviously. I am sure he will claim victory when the NBA comes with a soft *** punishment they negotiate with Ballmer because they didn't find a check with the memo "this payment is to be exclusively used for cap circumvention with regard to Kawhi Leonard".

Considering Adam Silver is the king of backdoor deals as we've literally just seen him rig Zion to New Orleans and Flagg to Dallas after they moved their star player to the Lakers, ain't no way he's going to come down hard on the Clippers.

I dont see this in any way as similar to tampering - which I agree they all do and there is no way to trace it. This is blatant disregard of the salary cap which is part of a union agreement. Any owner not blatantly cheating in this way would have to be furious. I guess if you believe every owner if cheating in a way that is this egregious than they would all smile and wink but I dont think that is the case.
I think the bigger issue is Ballmer is just a huge fish worldwide- none of the owners (or the league in general) can really afford to get on his bad side.

Listened to the latest pod from Pablo Torre -- the facts are just so, so bad here. There's no way this was legit under the CBA rules. I get the skepticism about whether the league will have the balls to take action, but I just don't see how they're going to be able to avoid imposing some significant penalties eventually.
