"Utah: Phenomenal point guard Deron Williams showed signs of exasperation last year, and exchanging Carlos Boozer for Al Jefferson might not make a huge difference. No Jerry Sloan team will be an outright disappointment, and Paul Millsap will be a force on the boards, but Andrei Kirilenko, Mehmet Okur and Raja Bell? That's just not enough. A pleasant surprise could be Butler rookie Gordon Hayward, rudely booed on draft day by Jazz fans who, typically, didn't have a clue."

We'll see who is clueless after your fourth place NW division prediction plays out.

I'm curious why you believe Jazz fans are less informed than others in the NBA. Is this real or just big market/ coastal intellectual superiority and lack of humilty?

How could those simple folks out in the mountains be as smart as us big city big thinkers?

This guy is actually listed in my gmail contacts from a few years back when the Jazz beat the Warriors. He was certainly buying the hype that year.

Great job there sport.

Why bother? I read his entire NBA preview. This guy's just another depth-less writer who generally has no idea what he's talking about, intentionally seeking to provoke reactions -- and who is only half serious anyway. "Letting him have it" would be a waste of energy. Chalk him up as writer #2,776 predicting the Lakers as this seasons champs and the perennially overrated Thunder as having "got next."

Also, I didn't exactly feel a surge of pride when Jazz fans booed the Hayward pick, so I'm not sure we have much of a case for "letting him have it" anyhow.

"I'm so mad I could just spit."

First person to name what movie that quote is from will be rewarded with tons o' rep points.
