Cody Williams Hype and Appreciation Thread

He’s a 6’8” wing with decent athleticism and length. Guys like that should be able to make an impact over their career. Scary thing is tho that it seems like the mousey, timid ones never pan out.

Can’t dribble and loses the ball in a crowd every time.

Everyone was singing his praises in last years SL. That straight line driving isn’t going to work in the real nba.

It's not about him putting up points in the Summer League, it's about him looking a little stronger, which is improving his confidence, which improves his activity level.

He still has a long way to go, but I think the hope for him getting stronger will lead to more confidence and more activity is looking like it could happen.

Cody is having a Rodney Hood-like Summer League - every other game is either a good game or a bad game for him.

I expected to see a bit more positivity in this thread with how far he’s come in a single year. He’s already much stronger and more confident than he was last season- reflected in his scoring, rebounding and defensive prowess. I really like the fact that like his brother, he is committed to playing both sides of the ball. He even seems a little longer than Jalen, keep hoping that he can develop some of his brother’s explosiveness. But even if not, he has the euro and the hesitation moves (better more complete than Hood) and is on his way to a productive pro career imo.

Cody looked pretty good in SL last year. It's great for these young guys to get some extra burn, but I don't give a lot of creedence to how someone plays in SL. Hopefully his extra strength pays dividends in the regular season.

I anticipate slow and steady improvement. I wish he'd fix his shot.
