Hoiberg needs to get better buy in on the defensive side of the ball. jmo.

Yeah, perhaps he'll have to yell more. Pretty frustrating when you can't just trust players to play hard all the time. It's not just the defense doe. They're lazy on both sides of the ball when they play like that. Luckily they play with maximum effort when the chips are down, but that'll just lead to another **** draw in the tournament. Looks like Kansas will win the league again. Iowa State has made some headway reducing the talent gap between the two programs, but they fail to realize that they need to play with effort all the time to win games.

I'm not too concerned because the Hoiberg teams are always playing their absolute best when the postseason rolls around, but just seems like they don't care about competing for a conference title or working hard enough to avoid playing a team like UK in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Hoiberg has done an incredible job. ISU was not relevant on a national scale and he has changed that. A couple weeks ago there was a long thread on the largest UK site with the title, "Iowa State scares me."

Obviously not saying that is the sign or arrival, but it's mad respect from a very knowledgable and confident fan base.

Prediction time;

Utah - 71
Washed up State - 57

Upset Alert;

Duke @ St. Johns (I don't really think Duke gets beat, but I think it should be a good game.)

This is ultra rare. UK just got a commitment from a big guy I know nothing about. That is weird.
