I don't mean to. We all have our perspectives, and our worldview is generally shaped around our experiences that have moved us through our time in this earth.
I just really ****ing hate this stigma that people on the left-wing are lazy. My brother hauled *** to get the job that he did. They only kept one summer student for permanent employment, out of 200 that applied (and 2 that got the job). He puts up over 60 hours of work a week.
I constantly fight with myself to work harder, to push myself in front of others. I've had phone conversations with Peeks about this-- my biggest fear is that maybe I have another gear of work ethic that I haven't yet tapped into, and maybe it'll limit me from goals I want to achieve.
However, hard work with no opportunity is nothing. Everyday I see people who work harder than me, but have less secure futures than me. Having cheaper schooling means that you get a ****load of lazy students-- sure. However, it also makes sure that you don't rob the opportunity of maybe granting someone in this world, someone who doesn't have the best support structure within their family alone, to go out there and change the world with their hard work & talent. That is what it's all about. Granting all an opportunity-- it's a principle that your nation was founded upon, and it's a principle that vanishes as the schism in socioeconomic inequality widens.
Wut.
Who on UK is even that athletic? WCS is the only great athlete on the team. I like Towns, but he's an averageish athlete.
I've been more down on Winslow than most who is a great athlete.
I like prospects that aren't athletic like Kaminsky and Trey.
I thought that Wisconsin would beat Arizona.
You're bringing up an ad hominem strawman that is neither remotely true nor relevant.
Did I miss a post or something?
Thought we was discussing how much UK sucks and stuff?
For sure. And Kaminsky averages a decent number of FTAs.Maybe you are right on WCS, but if he gets in foul trouble early.....
seriously.
I am disappointed in both Dalamon and UGLI.
These guys I consider friends and a bit beyond obnoxious trolling. I would be pulling for the Utes or Oilers in reverse. No doubt. Just as I did during the last Ute game, or even for Michigan when bluenote was a passing thing on this board.
I admit it seems juvenile that the trolling persists even when I assume (maybe wrongfully) these guys know how much this mean to me. A lot.
I guess I am disappointed based on how I would be reacting. Guarantee.. roles reversed, I would be a bandwagon friend with my true friends.
so call the wahbulance.. see if I care.
Thanks a ton.. All class.Sorry bro, really not tryin to be a douche.
In my defense...
1) your team is one of the most successful teams in sports history. You've won like 19 times and you kind of expect to every year. This is not a once in a lifetime thing for you, it's like an every other year thing. You are the Yankees/ Lakers.
2) I am 100% assuming that uk will win it all. Like, it's sort of a foregone conclusion. I already have the congratulatory text typed out ready to send your way.
3) I legitimately hate uk more than any team outside of byu. I'm not trolling you, I forrealz hate them, and for legit reasons obviously. Probly the only way I ever would not hate uk is if John Calipari adopts me or smthng.
4) The Oilers? In the Playoffs?? Cmon bro.
My rule is that I trash talk before games, but never ever during the game to someone who truly cares about their team, and never in a million years do I trash talk a true fan after their team loses (unless it's byu fans. They do not count).
For you I will extend my no trash talk policy to the remainder of your teams season so you can better enjoy the rest of their run. That is the best I can do for you at this time
PS: one of my best friends here in CA is from KY, use to be a ball boy at uk games as a kid, is one of the nicest/coolest people I have ever met, and cannot for the life of him understand why I am rooting against his team. He's from a really small town and he has that "awww shucks, ain't the cats just the goll darned greatest?" thing goin on. I think it's possible I'm the first person he has met that doesn't like his team lol.
I think if I had watched this game live and seen Andrew Harrison on the court for the last play, my stomach would have started doing weird painful contractions. Then during that drive that might have intensified into a real urge to puke, fulminated into pulling my hairs out when he pulled up unbalanced. The whistle would have been a short relief that would have turned quickly into shaking and freezing while awaiting the foul shots.
It always are the guys I least want to "win the game" that prove me wrong...
