Where do we go to drool over Ben Simmons?

Is he the next big thing? And not just like good player, I'm talking, at some point owns the league good.
Too early to tell if he will own the league.
Looks like a pretty Damn good basketball player though and will likely be the #1 pick

I think he is the next Blake Griffin at least and him "owning the league" probably depends on how good his jumper gets.

No. Despite Ben's lack of a J, he was actually one of the most complete players you could ever see in HS. I'd say there's younger prospects that are more likely to dominate (ones that can shoot).. players with more potential.

Next years Freshman Class is widely regarded as better than this one, and one of the best ever, if not the best(I'd say it is).. Players like Harry Giles, Josh Jackson and De'Aaron Fox are all better prospects - Giles did just tear his knee up, not long ago. None of them quite play quite like Ben Simmons, there are point forwards out there though.

The safest bet for the next big thing is Marvin Bagley III. The hype won't peak for him for years but he's a known commodity and far from a mixtape gimmick. He's a big lefty with a vast bag of tricks for someone his size and age. I think he can play SF, he's an obvious 4 or 5 as an amateur though.

I don't think you can say no on Simmons at this point. I like the Griffin comp, but at the same stage, he's a better passer and ball handler than BG was. If Simmons can learn to shoot, he can definitely be the next big thing and perhaps own the league - whatever that means. It's a big if, but not out of the question.

Kentucky has no answer for the great Thomas Welsh. How do you guard a guy that moves around the court like he's 60? You don't. You just gotta hope he's off his old man's pick and pop game.

I kind of like what I see of Jrue Holliday's brother. Looks kind of sloppy, but if he actually holds onto the ball....he can get to the hoop all day. Quick little sucka.

I couldn't resist the little shot, but i legitimately feel bad for you. I thought it was a slam dunk too. The last time I thought there was a slam dunk bet, it warriors favored by 8.5 over the Jazz. So yeah, not a good idea for me to bet on sports.

Thomas Welsh is totally draftable. I've made some posts about him in the draftees thread this season.

Aaron Holiday is a potential pro prospect too. not 1 and done though. Obviously not as talented as Jrue either.

PKM whats the word on Mulder? DNP?? I wish they'd swap Matthews minutes with his.. I know Matthews is a high energy guy out there to force the action. They looked like they could've used another shooter though - It'd make things easier for Jamal Murray.
