Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 6.0

And the good trade ideas for Harris earlier. If Utah feels Knight is the BPA you take him. He fits in well, no matter what happens with Harris.

Devin Harris was an all star, and he hasn't exactly fallen off the boat like Arenas did. Give him an offseason in the system where he knows his job is secure, develop a couple bigs.

I don't see any scenario where the #3 overall pick should be uses to replace a guy who's a notch below all-star calliber and 28 years old.

For all we know Harris will hold his age together really well and be consistent till 35 like Mo Cheeks and Mark Jackson did.

If Kyrie Irving is there, that's another story.

I think this mock is WAY off. If Irving and Williams go 1/2, I predict Kanter will be the choice. And Fredette at #12 if he's there. He'd be a loyal 6th man for the rest of his career and season ticket sales will automatically increase by 2,000. It's a no-brainer for the Jazz FO. Would the Jazz be better off with a SF? Probably. But Jimmer can back up Harris. Anyone to replace Price and hopefully keep Bell on the bench. Guess that would also mean a season of CJ at SF, with Millsap getting some mins there as well.

Jimmer at 12 is a horrible pick. You do not pick a player that can only do one thing in the lottery. Jimmer at 25? A great pick. Jimmer will go somewhere between 15-30, where one dimensional players go.

In this draft I'd be happy to get anyone who can do anything past 4... But Jimmer is a solid pick, I think he'll be similar to Barea for us, probably a little bit better even.

I completely disagree. Barea is small and a lot quicker. Jimmer is a bigger guard, and all he can do is shoot. That's it. Even his passing is very suspect. Jimmer didn't pass to players. He was triple teamed and passed to spots. He won't even get a double team in the NBA which will negate his "passing" ability. He is a fantastic shooter and nothing more. I just don't think you draft one dimensional players that high. Especially when you know Jimmer's curly fro is rubbing his ceiling. There are better players in this draft, and that is why I bet Jimmer slides fast. Think Aaron Rodgers.

The Aaron Rodgers comparison was done on purpose. If Jimmer is lucky enough to fall to Boston, NY, LA, etc then he will excel. We are not good enough for him to shine.

Jimmer can do more than just shoot. He has a great handle, can drive and finish, and he is a good passer. No, he won't lead the league in scoring, but I think he can change his game to adapt to the NBA.
