Conference Finals

....very poor Pacer defense tonight I thought. Didn't close on shooters, didn't stay in front of there man, and didn't make the Heat work for there shots, they just gave them to them! Pacer offensive wasn't much better. Didn't post Hibert low enough, didn't set up any offensive screens or plays and that resulted in some pathetically forced shots with no time left on the shot clock! But I still have my ace in the hole! The Spurs! They won't be so easy to score on and the Heat will have much more difficulty defending a team with brains!

Heat vs Spurs is going to be awesome.

Most of the Heat flops caused a change in possession, which is way important than just free throws.
Good use of statistics there Spycam to support a belief unjustified by actually watching the games.
Just because Indiana got more free throws does not prove that the Heat did not flop more , foul more, and get away with more dirty plays.
or that the refs didn't help them win.

I can't for the life of me, figure out why the Heat are so tough to beat? Ok, they've got Lebron who is the most athletic player in the league....but he does have weaknesses. Wade is semi-worn out, and Bosch would get destroyed by Karl Malone in his prime! There bench is weak, they have no real inside presence and as much as I like Battier, he's so hot and cold with his shot that he's virtually a non-factor most of the time! The league is just weak, very weak! The Heat really have no "system" whatsoever to get anybody open, yet seem to always shoot a high percentage for the game! I guess it all boils down to who can "palm" the ball and travel the best, to "create" there own shots! If you watch Lebron back down his man in the post or the paint, he picks up his dribble about 3 times before he shoots! It's pathetic basketball to watch, if you ask me! Thank goodness the Spurs are still in there!

Where did I ever state a belief? I showed a stat and gave virtually no further analysis on it.

If you went back and counted all the calls Miami got away with vs that of Indiana, I would believe you. But until you do that, I'm not going to simply take your word for it. I don't think anyone who watched the game (accept you, apparently) would say the refs won Miami this game.

You have stated your beliefs throughout this thread, including this very same post where you ask me where you stated a belief.
It does not sound like you watched the game, or have any interest in a fair analysis.

I've watched thousands of basketball games, but I don't think I've ever seen one team flop 6 times in 4 minutes, and draw a call on 5 of them. The Pacers were on a run before that, and looked to be about to regain the lead.

.....I don't really have a problem with flopping, per'se! It's the only mechanism in place to counteract the total disregard for palming and traveling the defensive player has on the offensive player. But when the most flagrant palmers and travelers of the ball are also the best floppers, well then, where do you draw the line? Wade generally gets every call driving to the basket as does his buddy Lebron! Let them palm, travel and give them flopping calls, no wonder they're shooting 55% for the season!
