Conspiracy Theory Corner

The Jazz are going to trade for Brandon Ingram and Kawhi Leonard.

The reason we haven't heard any Ingram rumblings is because the Jazz have a trade lines up for Ingram if the Warriors don't give up everything.

The reason Kawhi got pulled from Team USA is because the Clippers want to ensure his trade value for the Jazz, keeping him as healthy as possible. Danny Ainge called some people and pulled some strings to have Leonard pulled off the team. Clippers are able to deny involvement because Danny ordered it. If the trade falls through due to GSW paying the max trade offer, everyone can walk away untarnished by the rumor mill.

To add to the conspiracy, the Jazz have been keeping the Lauri trade rumors in constant rotation to distract from their true master plan. @Tony Jones hinted the reason Lauri isn't upset over the trade talks is because the Jazz have kept him clued in and used the word "plan". *Editors Note: Nothing of what I'm saying is anything anyone has told me and is me just BS'ing in the off-season*

So there is potentially some plan in place that has Lauri happy enough to want to commit to Utah, a place almost no 3rd contract player who is viewed as a Top 30 guy wants to commit to. Of course this could just be him getting paid, but it could also be a master plan to contend immediately.

Windhorst has referenced his classic meme, Lowe is talking about executives floating Ingram to Utah. It may all be happening...

The question does Joe Lacob know this is going on? If he knows, then he knows Utah is about to knock the Warriors down a spot and potentially making the play in game a tough make. Will he lay the extra price to stop the Utah Overlords from dominating the NBA while his golden goose waste away?

Basic outline of the trade before the picks come into play

Jazz Rotation:

Keyonte/Collier
Ingram/Juzang
Kawhi/Williams
Lauri/Filipowski
Kessler/Eubanks

Gordon Hayward is an available vet min player. So is Tyson Jones (probably not minimum). So is Lonnie Walker. Precious Achuwa also available.

The Jazz are very weak at SF and this trade would allow them to fortify this position a bit. It would also clear up the PF spot and let Filipowski start at 4 immediately .

I just read that Jazz actually havent officially submitted Juzang or Eubanks deals to league office.

Two plausible reasons why:
1) We are planning on frontloading Lauri's deal as much as possible
2) We want to use the capspace for something else than just Lauri R&E (e.g. some mystery trade + Lauri R&E)

This team would be lucky to avoid the playin to finish top 6 in the West
Actually think it would be a pretty elite team if Kawhi stays healthy. Obvious question mark is relying on Keyonte to be a PG as a second year player, but Tyus Jones is also a free agent (add to the conspiracy)

But yeah, Kawhi and Ingram together don't make too much sense, I just enjoyed the ability to tie conspiracy with the weird Team USA decision along with Locke bringing him up prior to that.

pels get no value. Are they that desperate to dump BI?
Brother I said it's the outline of the deal. Picks would be included. I just don't know what they would be and didn't feel like sitting down pondering the value of picks and what everyone would need.

Really wish people would read the entire post before commenting

Gordon Hayward is also available for the vet minimum.....

Along with Lonnie Walker if you wanted to add athleticism at the guard position

Something is happening. It might be the most plausible thing (paying Lauri on a front load as much as possible) or it might be something else.....

So Ainge is suddenly dumb enough to trade for Kawhai?

Here’s the thing..

I think you need to watch some pre season football to take your mind off things….

Yeah, it would be so stupid to trade for a guy who just made All NBA 2nd Team

Give it a week tho and you'll probably start your own thread glazing the trade as the next best thing ala Filipowski

Okay, well the Jazz would have to empty their pick war chest to both teams to make this happen.

No they wouldn't. They can probably make 3 Kawhi level star trades with the amount of assets they have.

No one wants to trade for Ingram currently. That's the genesis of the stuff being like a tiny bit possible.

The Pelicans can't afford to pay Ingram what he may want next year and they risk losing him for nothing (the market is supposedly dry). They also need another big. There's a world where you can use a single pick and offload Collins to get Ingram.

Like take away my fantasy land conspiracy of the Kawhi side of this. Just Ingram. I could definitely see the Jazz willing to part ways with one of their picks to get off Collins while getting Ingram. Danny loves to buy low and Ingram's value is the lowest it may ever be.
