I cracked up when she requested him on facebook, that girl sounded like an idiot.

I don't understand why anyone would ever accept a plea deal (pleading GUILTY) to something like that knowing they didn't do it. I would fight it with every breath in my body until my dying day.

If I were him, I would hit that woman up with a serious civil case (slander, lost wages, everything I could possible throw into it) just to get back at her.

I don't know much about the law but does the statute of limitations come into play here? Not sure he can still sue, although I read he is suing the state for $100 per day he was in jail. 5 years so roughly $180,000.

What if the facebook reconnect is a fabrication? and the recant is the true lie? Maybe she felt threatened after he was released and agreed to recant if he left her alone.

That makes more sense than him pleading to something he didn't do, and her trying to get back with him after his release. Not to mention all the lawsuit money.
