The post is from slcdunk, a bit long but really necessary to take notes about his offensive moves.

The point is, his fundementals on post up is just there but so systematic so he can not read the situation instead he just does his move directly whtever his opponent gives him. The surprising thing is his total assist from the post. Just two.

For me, fundementals on offense come from the education and make difference between the players. Kanter is way advanced while posting up opposite of the more people's approach. Even though he is 19 and a rookie who has the least experience among the others, succeeded in lots of ways. He is already better than Favors while posting up and his shooting mechanic is ideal. He just needs to improve his outside shooting to have more space and become unpredictable on offense by the respect of his opponents. His exploviness is a problem but awareness is more problem than it. As i always notice, he passes his man while posting up but never notices the helper guy or misses the passing channels. So the only question comes as we all ask: Will he have enough opportunity on offense and time for improving or stay just a young potential?

Thanks for letting us have notice of the article. Apparently it will continue with his defense, then rebounding.

As for your question, I do not trust Corbin one bit, so I have doubts if Kanter will be having the enough playing time.

He needs minimum 17-18 good mins.

Yea it takes for a while for big men to learn how to pass from the post. Best example is Big Al. It just took like 7 years for him to understand the importance of the pass from the post. For kanter, he's gotta watch the guys who are good at passing like Gasols, scola, Bogut etc. The game iq depends on the experience too. So reacting time, passing the ball out of the double, find the right guy at the right time is all talent but more of it experience. Hope Kanter can find the opportunity for it and has better role model than Big Al.

Exactly, trading big al is requirement for the future of the organization. You gotta give opportunity Kanter and Favors to get back and see what you have exactly. I do not wanna Kanter to become just rebounding specialist ala Reggie Evans. Also for criticising him, you gotta behave him like the 3rd pick, not 50th pick.

Al didn't want to pass. Kanter can't pass even if he wants. And he really needs to work with coaches on that. I doubt many NBA teams put much effort into developing players. AFAIK they presume players are professionals and should take care of their personal development on their own.

That's why i am trying to say that he 's gotta find a better role model than Big al and search for a big man coach like Hakeem,Kareem etc. Also, i am not sure Michael Sanders and Scott Layden good enough to improve him dramatically.

Even If they won't trade Big Al, then at least play Millsap at 3 more, and even send away Evans for whatever anyteam gives in return. So play Favors&Kanter 30+&20 minutes respectively. I know this is fan thinking, but Ty didn't show me anything that he's way better than me at this, lol!
