I think the issue here is something that we've talked about a lot...
What is the mission of this franchise? What is the goal of this season?
Is it to make a push for the playoffs? Is it to appease the vets? Is it to develop the young talent?
The players are upset because they receive mixed messages from the ownership and coaching.
They are told to be accountable. Guys like Kanter are benched at first mistake. Then, you see guys like Bell and Jefferson committing the same error over and over and over again without any recuperation. we lose games that we shouldn't, like against NO, and the starting lineup receives no punishment. I'm sorry, but if Big Al and Millsap wanna pout or take nights off, it's time to bench'em in favor of Kanter, Favors, and Evans.
We are told that we are trying to make the playoffs... Win! Yet, the coach's rotations do anything but put us in a place to win. His strategies scream complete incompetence. How the hell do you let Korver go off? How do you not draw up some isos to expose him? How do you not expose boozer? How does Favors only get 1 shot attempt against Chicago? Why is the offense so Jefferson oriented? Perhaps players would be more excited to play if they knew that the playbook used would put them into the best position to have success? Instead, I see a system designed to make Jefferson successful and no one else.
What is the franchise trying to do here? Are they planning on making a championship run in a few years? Or are they merely content with making a buck?
If Corbin wants respect, then act like a coach. It's time. The honeymoon is over. Time to bench, time to reward, time to draw up new plays, time to adjust strategy, time to expose the opponent. Stop just rollin the ball out at practice and going with the same ol same ol.
If Greggy wants fan support, then it's time to cut the secrecy and communicate to Jazz fans.
If KOC wants support, it's time to make it clear that you have a plan. Instead, I see a chicken walking around with its head cut off. We're split, almost 50/50 with vets and youngsters. Gotta make a decision NOW. Are you rebuilding or making a playoff run? If you're rebuilding, it's time to trade the vets, and get rebuilding pieces.

I am so sick of Paul and Bell telling everyone how to be a great basketball player then doing nothing in the game. Shut your yap Paul. Go out and play some defense. Set some picks. Do the things that you are saying you want done. Then, instead of talking about it to a reporter, yell at Jefferson during practices and film sessions. Push them to be better. Quit whining and actually do something about it.

If Corbin was coach of the Bulls, the offense would be ran through Boozer and yes, the Bulls would suck a lot more. Tom had the courage to bench Boozer for overall, better players. He sat an extremely gifted offensive player (Boozer/Jefferson) for a player that plays defense, runs the offense, sets picks, and gives effort. Chicago is a GREAT comparison on how Corbin if effing this team up.
The Jazz hardly run pick and roll.
