Corbin putting Al on the floor in multiple late game defensive possessions - WTF?!?!

I like Corbin. I really do.

But coming out of x2 key time outs with Hornets attacking, Corbin repeatedly puts in Al instead of Favors on the floor. Both times Hornets scored including the game winning shot. While Favors sat on the bench twiddling his thumbs.

Can someone please give me a reasonable justification for this?
