Maybe people should follow the rules?

It’s weird how conservatives don’t think the rules apply anymore.

he did. He was informed that he'd been given an exemption by the state government authorities and then when he got here the federal Australian government decided to deport him at the discretion of a federal minister purely on the basis that he might somehow incite anti vax dissent. when our population is 95 % double vaxxed. When we've been recording 100,000 Covid cases a day. It was purely for political appearances.

You might want to consider reading up on facts about things you don't really know about (which granted is a whole lot of stuff) before displaying your ignorance.

No, he didn’t. He wasn’t vaccinated. He needed to be doubled vaccinated in order to play tennis there. He wasn’t.

Sure, there was a bureaucratic **** up.

But at the end of the day Novak Djokovic failed to play by the rules. Want to play tennis? Get ****ing vaccinated. This really isn’t hard and I don’t really appreciate conservatives blowing off rules and laws just because they’ve decided to become anti vax right now. What a scary slippery slope you’re putting civilization on right now.

White conservatives sure are dying on some strange hills these days. Whether it be vaccines, learning history, or trying not to be racist. These are weird hills to die on and I can’t help but wonder if there are better issues to protest? War on drugs, homelessness, changing economics, raging authoritarianism, corrupt businessmen, opioid epidemics, climate change? I dunno, didn’t Australia burn down a few years ago? Maybe be angry over that? Try and fix that.

But dying on this weird “this dude should be tennis even though he’s not abiding by the rules” is so strange to me.

He's had Covid therefore has natural immunity which if you could read you'd know that your CDC just recently showed gave greater immunity than being vaccinated. And he's a healthy elite athlete so there's really no reason for him to get vaccinated especially as i'm sure you're also aware your CDC has also just recently stated that vaccination doesn't stop transmission. As has the CEO of Pfizer said the vaccine isn't that effective against Omicron.

Novak Djokovic is a ******, but he was specifically given an exemption by the Victorian authorities and wasn't trying to cheat anything. Many places in the world will certify immunity for 6 months as i'm sure you're aware if you've had Covid. The slippery slope is blind adherence to temporary "rules" that no longer serve the purpose that they were brought in for and are not based on one bit of logic whatsoever.

I and my family have had a vaccine. However now that our population is 90% + i just don't see the point in vaccine mandates. So whatever your weird little reflex of wanting to whine about anti vax conservatives is all about you can shove that up your clacker. As usual you're just showing that you are truly one of the dumbest posters on Jazzfanz

Didn't he also lie about his recent travel?

he claims it was an admin error by his manager which is prob BS but the govt accepted that response. That's not why he was deported. The result of his appeal very specifically said it wasn't because his paperwork was incorrect. He was deported unilaterally by the federal minister on the basis that he might be basically a disturbance to the public good, not because he lied on his forms or wasn't vaccinated.

stop just stop. That’s exactly what I thought you’d say and you didn’t disappoint. I didn’t even bother reading the rest of your worthless Diatribe. Again, it’s weird that you folks are dying on a hill so easily shredded by experts and empirical data.

Again, the rules are double vaxxed, not natural immunity. Stop covering for this shrill. Do something constructive with your energy and spare time.

That’s what I’ve read as well.

He also wasn’t forthcoming with his vaccination status claiming privacy concerns or something stupid. This guy isn’t a saint. He's an entitled elitist ******* and the "forgotten man" is rushing to defend this jerk.

It’s truly amazing to the extent that some people are arguing just because they want to wage a culture war against those they hate (usually to the detriment of themselves). Whether it’s tennis or with trans sports. People who couldn’t name a single competition that this tennis player has won and people who couldn’t name a single WNBA player now suddenly want to die on a hill arguing nonsensical things all because they want to “own” their perceived political enemies. It’s really getting out of hand.

Why do conservative white males feel this need to prove themselves by being anti vax? Why are so many conservative white males falling for Trump and Trumpism? Why are so many falling for the likes of Rogan, Bannon, Bongino, Shapiro, and Carlson? Is it the availability of online content? Is it the lack of social connections with actual human beings? Is it changing economics? Is it the failure of organized religion to be relevant in the 21st century? Is it boredom? I’m painting in wide brush strokes here but generally speaking the conservative white male across several industrialized countries seem to be in a crisis morally, emotionally, and socially… not too dissimilar from Arabic males in the late 90s and early 2000s forming the backbone of radical Islam.

Saw the mask mandate in SLCO was overturned today which I expected to happen from this legislature.

I have a real problem with the state decrying federal oversight and 'let local governments govern locals' yet those same state representatives can't help but impose their will on local governments when they're now calling the shots. Hypocrisy indeed, but that's what happens when you have politicians try to determine community health interests.

Unlike in some parts in the world it is good to see that nice scientific attitude is in action in Hong Kong:

Our system of government relies upon that intrinsic aspect of human nature. Officials at various levels and different branches of government all trying to gain as much power for themselves works to check & balance the power of the other officials at various levels and different branches of government trying to do the same for themselves. Devils are always drawn to the levers of power and so the founders created a system to be run by devils. Socialists have the naive view that society will work for the betterment of all and that is why it always fails. Our founders had no such illusions and we've been going strong for almost a quarter millennia now.

The mandate was a joke anyway. I went to a number of places while it was in place and nobody was enforcing it and typically 50% were not wearing a mask.
