Cory Joseph anyone??

i challenge anyone to find footage of a guard dunking on Ibaka quite like this.

Ibaka has had the most total blocks in the nba 4 seasons running...

I think he got lucky on that play

#23 pick for Joseph is a big stretch...
He is a 3rd string point guard playing behind Patty 'Androgynous Chucker' Mills...

I like him as a player because he has balls, but he is a defensive point and not a setup man. We can't close games and we can't stretch the floor even though we shot a zillion 3s last year. Joseph isn't the solution and he definitely isn't worth a 1st round pick. Besides, irony would work out such that San Antonio would probably get Payton with that #23 pick, he would become an All Star in their system, and we would read 'WE TRADED Cory 'nobody remembers this guy' Joseph FOR Efrid 'All-Star' PAYTON!!!' posts in this forum for the next decade. I am not saying that Payton will be an All-Star, but if we make that trade... it would basically be guaranteed that the Spurs would make irony punch us in the balls.

If we really like Joseph, then a second rounder would be enough... Otherwise, they are probably asking too much. He becomes a FA in 2015/16 and he only makes $2 million next year.

what a back handed argument

other than your assertion that one is the solution and one isnt

what exactly is Elfrid better at? overdribbling?

your talking about closing games? Payton is less of a threat from 3, a turnover waiting to happen and shoots 55% free throws

I am not trying to win a court case here...

What I am trying to say is:

1. Cory Joseph < 23rd pick...
2. Cory Joseph is not the answer
3. Cory Joseph can be had in other ways if he is...

I don't know Elfrid's game at all. Didn't watch a minute of him play. But, trading the #23 pick to San Antone... will certainly give the Spurs a quality player as they know how to draft and develop talent. If it is Elfrid or Gambit from X-Men... they will make him into a player and all we will hear about on this site is how we 'gave up on' player x in exchange for Cory.

I like Cory... don't get me wrong, but what has he done in the NBA outside of last night's performance that will make the Jazz take the next step?

A big pile of Meh...

Joseph is the PGOTF for the Canadian National team, they should field a very interesting team of NBA guys in the 2016 Rio games that should be a fun matchup, if Wiggins, Olynyk, Tristan Thompson, Stauskas, Andrew Nicholson, Anthony Bennett etc play.

Cory was balling in 2013 Fiba America's, 16.1 points, 5.5 boards and 4.4 assists in 40 minute games.

im sure Ennis will be in the discussion, we shall see. i wouldent rule out Jamal Murray either

Steve Nash is basically the GM of the National team, by 2020 they should have a ton of players near their prime

this 6'7" kid plays PG too..
