His agent isn't even a licensed agent, it could be me or you saying we're an agent.
Cy isn't pushing anything. Givony himself is saying ****. I listened to the interview. Ryan is good on the talking points / boilerplate.

I mean I don't necessarily believe the reporting that Ace is "excited" to be here. Ownership and management of course are going to say that and Ace is at least not going to go on record trashing this situation. But I just need him to be excited to play in the NBA and we are the team that drafted him and have his rights.
Unless he's willing to torpedo his career earning potential, he'll be in a Jazz jersey on opening night. His agent may still try to play other games, but unless he's willing to push for disastrous advice there's just not much recourse.

Jazz have his rights for the next 4 years. So, he would forfeit playing for years and collecting $40MM.

Someone did answer it. No, they can't do that. The Jazz own the rights to Ace whether they sign or not.
Draft Rights
When a team selects a player in the NBA Draft, they gain that player's exclusive NBA rights. This means:
- No other NBA team can sign that player unless his rights are traded.
- The team holds those rights indefinitely if the player goes overseas or doesn’t sign right away (e.g., “draft-and-stash” internationals).
Yeah I was just looking this up myself but it's only for one year from what I'm reading.
