Surely what the Agent wants come from Ace and Ace family’s directives, right?
Right What if every player on the planet decided they did not want to play in UtahThat's exactly why it isn't a year because there would be players that would do that sadly.
Although that can and surely is true for the most part, there could also be agents that take advantage of players that may (or may not) come from anything. The agent may use 'their expertise" to try and get the most for their player and that may get the player on board.Surely what the Agent wants come from Ace and Ace family’s directives, right?
Or any place for that matter. The NBA would essentially cease to exist at that point or would be limited to maybe 10 teams total? The NBA is a business and their product is the players. The more players that are drafted and become a Brunson or Jokic, the better it is for the business. These players wouldn't even exist if there was only 10 teams in the NBA today cause every player sat out from playing in Utah, Minny, etc...Right What if every player on the planet decided they did not want to play in Utah
After a year, if the Jazz offer a Required Tender and he rejects it, they retain his rights for another year. At the end of that year, they can offer another Required Tender, and retain his rights for yet another year.Yeah I was just looking this up myself but it's only for one year from what I'm reading.
So the Wizards have some leverage in thisAfter a year, if the Jazz offer a Required Tender and he rejects it, they retain his rights for another year. At the end of that year, they can offer another Required Tender, and retain his rights for yet another year.
The Jazz can prevent him from re-entering the draft indefinitely by just repeatedly offering Required Tenders each year.
Yeah but wasn't it Ace and the family that hired this supposedly unregistered agent of all the available agents?Although that can and surely is true for the most part, there could also be agents that take advantage of players that may (or may not) come from anything. The agent may use 'their expertise" to try and get the most for their player and that may get the player on board.
On the flip side, look at all the players that were given bad advice and immediately fired their agents afterwards (Dennis anyone?).
I think you misread my post.So the Wizards have some leverage in this
They can make any offer they want Take it or leave
Yeah, I mean obviously Ace has no real play other than convincing Washington to make a good offer then make Utah as uncomfortable as possible. After a year, if the Jazz offer a Required Tender and he rejects it, they retain his rights for another year. At the end of that year, they can offer another Required Tender, and retain his rights for yet another year.

It’s basically a game of chicken right now to see who blinks first. If the agent was on board he would have made a public statement given the attention the situation has gotten.
Sorry What did you meanI think you misread my post.
