How does that hold hold the jazz hostage. The jazz are very rich and will continue to play basketball. They’ll continue to draft players, trade for players and sign players in free agency. And they wouldn’t have to pay the 2025 #5 overall pick.

Right but it’s just a wasted pick. They continue playing basketball and doing business.
Jazz PR will spin it like they always do though.. “Oh Ace was late to the plane.. “ or “Ace had a family matter to attend to..”
On and on it goes.
But the controversy will hang over the team for the duration of the tendering process.
