Could this be out best lineup yet?

I'm liking this kid Carroll at SF; brings the same energy Kirilenko did in his youth. Using Millsap as his backup at SF gives us a 'big' package which opponents are struggling to deal with. Then bringing in Tinsley to play PG and sliding Harris over as Hayward's backup at SG gives us a 'small' package. Mix in a bit of Burks at SG and Favors/Kanter in the paint and we're cookin'...

As far as millsap playing the 3 with favors, big al, hayward and player x at point.... that is something that myself and many others have wanted to see since game 1.

I dont understand why the Coach of the team takes longer to figure things out than alot of jazz fans do... and alot of the stuff he has "fugured out" has only been due to injury (he was forced into making the correct change).
I feel he was late on getting burks minutes, playing millsap at the 3, tinsley over watson at backup point, and now he may just figure out that CJ doesn't help you win.
Seems like alot of jazzfanz figured these things out before the Coach of the team did.... curious

It's interesting while injuries set back one guys career, they often create an opportunity for those guys on the bench. Sometimes with spectacular results...

I agree.

I have always been baffled as to why it takes management and the coaching staff forever to make the correct adjustments. When almost all the fans can see it. It's like they aren't watching the same game.

I'm sure coach Ty is going by what he sees in practice. Thing is, once a certain combo works in games, even if was forced on him because of injury, he ought to try it AGAIN more regularily once the injured guy(s) are back. What's tricky is some guys slack off too much in practice, but then amp it up in games.

i have seen caroll just 1-2 games but as far as i see, he is not a team player, he may bring energy at times, but he isn't a reliable player to be our SF. Not even comparable to howard

The talent difference is so vast the "big" package should be used at all times unless we have a team that can marvelously spread the floor like SA. That is when Millsap's foot speed on closing out on three point shooters would kill us.

carroll had a nice night the other night, and i think really set the tone with his energy early -- but it's still important that we remember what he is. any calculation of future success that hinges deeply on carroll being a major player is more likely to disappoint than become a reality.

We all know Carroll isn't that skilled offensively and isn't likely to make the all-star team next year. But, he does provide a spark defensively, which we generally have lacked with CJ or even Howard. We NEED that kind of energy right now in every gameto get into the playoffs, as our depth has dwindled and our talent level doesn't match up with most of the 'elite' teams.
