What's new

Credit to Danny Ainge for timing the market perfectly

But what if by not trading them we’re too good to land bottom 3 this year and miss out on Flagg?

Is the opportunity cost worth it?
What if we traded them for nothing and missed out on Flagg though?
I think that its always a good idea to get value for good young players. If we were talking about 35 year old mike conley or 33 year old clarkson then sure. Add in the fact that we had those guys all year so far and currently have the best possible odds to get Flagg anyway.

Of course if we sit all of them down the stretch then yes by all means keep them.

All eyes on Ainge as to what he’ll do.

Only time will tell I guess.

I used to think that way, but the reality is that it doesn’t really matter what Ainge got for Rudy and Don until he successfully uses that treasure trove to create a legit, long term contender. I’m starting to get nervous about his ability to do just that considering some of the head scratching decisions coming from the front office.

Yep. Look at how we have drafted the last 9-10 years. It’s laughably bad. Like possibly bottom five in the league bad.

We didn’t draft Mitchell or Gobert. We traded for them on draft night…so go take a look. I don’t have a ton of trust in the FO to get the draft right at this point based on their resumé over the last decade.
