Offensive Philosophy

This team will play inside-out basketball, but can also get out in transition and run and finish strong at the rim. Inside scorers include Tim Duncan and David West who are proven post scorers, surrounded by quality clutch 3 point shooters to spread the floor (Thompson 42%, Gordon 38%, Pierce 37%, Lawson 36%, Wall 35%).

There is plenty of passing with John Wall and Ty Lawson who each averages 8.8 assists per game last season. Playmakers & shotmakers all over the floor with Thompson, DeRozan, Gordon and Pierce happy to take the ball handling duty as well as hit the final shot.

In transition John Wall and Ty Lawson are arguably the fastest PGs in the league - DeRozan, Wall and Gordon are some of the best dunkers in the game and will finish at the rim with ease. These guys will be lighting quick down the floor and exciting to watch.

Defensive Philosophy

Tim Duncan and Tyson Chandler will anchor the defense in the starting lineup. Nothing more needs to be said about these 2 defensively. In the 2nd unit, Kevin Garnett will play the pivot and will organise the defensive strategy. His presence and intensity alone makes the team better defensively.

On the perimeter, John Wall is an athletic defender and is one of the best defensive PG in the league and averages nearly 2 steals per game.

Match-up with White Choc

- Duncan/West/Chandler/Garnett >> Griffin/Cousins/Jones/Lopez

- John Wall/Ty Lawson >> Bledsoe/Knight

- DeRozan/Pierce >> Wiggins/Kidd-Gilchrist

White Choc has put together a young & exciting team, albeit an inexperienced team. Offensively, the lack of a true 3 point shooter will really hurt him, meaning I can pack the paint with Duncan/Chandler/Garnett.

My team has a mix of exciting young backcourt & experienced Championship calibre front court and should take this match-up 4-1 in a 7 game series.
 
Not a single person on WC's team can shoot the ball (well). I don't see how Griffin can even move. I don't think hotttnickkk has the best team, but WC's personnel just don't work.

wc's team would've been interesting with young d wade. they could've been one of those run and gun team with great athleticism. but it's looking like a bad half court team because there just isn't any legit distributer and with no 3pt threat.

Wow! He really doesn't have anyone that can shoot. Complete dysfunction.
 
Wow this is a really close one.

Hotttnickkk's frontcourt obviously is better and his team looks better overall, but I really really like MKG and also I'm curious about how Wiggins will roll in his 1st.

Let me think about this one until afternoon.

I am open to bribes.
 
Lots of Firepower on Hotttnickkks team, and a good bench too with some defensive presence with the bigs. Hotttnickkks team +1
 
White Chocolate ' s team isn't going to lose Hotttnickkk ' s team like how it's being voted. It closer than that.

Wade isn't dead or retired. He still put up 19 ppg.


I'm only going to give a slight edge to Hotttnickkk ' s team. Mostly because he has 3 solid veteran leaders in Duncan, Pierce and Garrnett. Although their age could be a hinderance in this game. And also because WC has Cousins who is sorta opposite in that regard. And also because off WC's lack off shooting.

I don't think my team is as bad as the vote suggests, but I do give Hotttnickkk the edge. I don't know what happened but I have zero shooters. Guess it kinda slipped my mind when I was picking.
