Who the **** is “Beer?”

haven’t been here in 16.5 years so forgive me..

I dropped off for like 2 years because there isn't enough traffic on JF to stay engaged consistently. Will probably fall off again in the near future.

De'Aaron fox 22 years old VS Brogdon 27 years old.
Pretty much every stat shows De'Aaron Fox is a better player and will greatly improve going forward.

Shai (21) vs Butler (30)
Butler is on the decline and Shai is quickly improving at a really young age. Butler is really good all around and Shai is a much better shooter. Butler is shooting 25% from 3! Both are about the same at scoring. Both are pretty good rebounders. Butler is a better at creating and defense. But Butler has been run out of town 3X by teams. I think by the end of next year this one will be an advantage for Shai. Shai is the leading scorer on a team with the same record as Butler. Butler is in an easier conference and has more talent around him.

Gallinari vs Paul George vs Oubre
I give the advantage to Paul George here over both but it isnt that big. George is not playing that well this year and has choked multiple times in the playoffs. All 3 players are around the same PPG, Oubre is the best passer, Gallinari is the best shooter, Oubre and George are the best defenders. Advanced stats say Gallinari is the best player of the 3 this year. He has the best Win Shares, Net Rating, and VORP. Next year I think George and Gallinari get a little worse and Oubre gets better.

Siakam vs Collins
This one is as big of a gap at seems. Collins is becoming pretty good but he isnt near what Siakam is on both ends of the court.
https://www.basketball-reference.co...akam&player_id2=siakapa01&idx=players&y2=2020

KAT vs Turner
Both young players and improving. But this one isnt close. KAT is an incredible player but stuck on a really bad team. KATs team is much much better when he is on the court. Put him next to a high energy all around great player like Siakam and he would destroy teams especially with 4 good shooters around him.

In terms of

Fox v Brogdon .... Fox is way better than I thought he would be but I think Brogdon fits the role of 4th option that can be used to guard 1-3 (4 depending on the matchup) and doesn't need the ball to be a very valuable contributor. Fox has to have the ball to be effective. I prefer to look at this basketball reference page due to the role Brogdan will be going back to playing. https://www.basketball-reference.co...=Malcolm+Brogdon&player_id2=brogdma01&y2=2019

Shai v Butler - Love Shai and was trying to get him in this draft, but right now Jimmy is better. And has proven to be better over the course of 5 plus years, not just 2/3 of 1 season. Gotta think in a 1 year rental scenario 8/10 GM's are taking Jimmy. His shooting is atrocious, but he makes up for it in everything else. Plus you've got Fox shooting 30% from 3 on your end.

PG v Galinari - I like Galinari and you took him the pick before I was going to but PG is better in pretty much every single aspect. And PG is an elite wing defender, while Galinari is not even close. This matchup isn't that close imo. PG's stats this year are skewed due to the Clips being so weird with their lineups and resting people.

Collins and Siakam - Yeah, Siakam does more I'd rather have Siakam. But Collins once again fills a role perfectly. Insanely efficient, puts up huge #'s with Trae Young dribbling the air out of the ball and shooting it 40 times a game. As a 3rd option he's about as perfect a complementary piece as you can get.

Turner v KAT - KAT is a *****. No ifs ands or butts. God awful horrendous on D. Pouts pretty much non stop. Top of the world elite on offense but the dude is not a winner. Turner once again is a perfect complementary piece at the 5. Can spread the floor on offense. Dominates at the rim and on the pick and roll. Thats all i need. TBH I'd probably just have Jimmy Butler switch on to KAT as much as possible and I'm sure KAT would wet his pants and demand to be subbed out.

So just another way to look at it.

Agreed, Beer. Towns is a perennial loser and plays awful d. You can’t win with an atrocious defender at the 5. He makes Shaq look like Bill Russell too so I don’t want to hear Shaq stunk on d and they won nonsense. You can see it in his young, fat face. Lazy work ethic.

That and Gallinari trying to play the 3 is really a really shame front court defensively that Siakam can only make up for so much.

I'm not surprised at all. I have a lot of players that dont get the respect they deserve but I expected that. Honestly I drafted most of this team based on next season. The only way to validate my team will be after next year. Next year my team is better than his, but even this year its close. But its hard for people to project to next year.
To me Siakim is probably the best player on either team (though I wouldnt be mad if someone said George). He plays both ends and is making huge improvements. His gap might be even bigger next year. KAT is probably the most talented player on either team and is a straight up nasty pairing with Siakim. He is probably vastly underrated on here because he's always been in a bad situation and underachieved on team wins.

Overall it's pretty close. Not saying Ron >>>, but the voting should be closer IMO.
