D-Will says he would welcome playing for Sloan again

Don't remember d will ever having ankle problems. Wrist problems for sure. But he doesn't have Steph curry ankles.

Derrick Rose stepped under him during a preseason game and messed up his ankle pretty bad, that was the year we finished 8th in the standings

Right, but if D-Will was that disruptive wouldn't that imply that he didn't like Sloan's style or system?

It would imply they probably disagreed about strategy (which doesn't have to mean anything as overarching as "style" or "system").

The Nets might as well compound the problem by trading Humphries and his one year left for Boozer and his two years left. The Nets can't do nothing for a while because they are stuck with those salaries. Then get Sloan in there and reunite the whole thing. That, I would watch. Their offense would get better but the defense would be terrible. Sloan just might take that gig. He loved Boozer.

If the Nets built an offense like that of the '07-'10 Utah Jazz they wouldn't be doing anything but vastly improving their team. Except they'd have a chance to be even better than that team if they dumped Wallace and got a SF that can spread the floor (as they'd have two ballhanders AND two roll-men and you wouldn't be able to hide any bigs defensively).

I'm tired of Sloan back in the NBA rumors. Sloan is discovering how much coaching is a part of his life, and Deron is discovering how much Sloan helped him. Hindsight is 20/20 after all. We however have moved on. Would I take Deron back? Not for what he's making. Would I want Sloan back? Not really, I bet he burns out after a very short amount of time.
Good thought. Many players who have moved on have complimented Sloan and Utah. Deron wanted the spotlight. He got that in New York and has been blasted by the media at times. He's getting EXACTLY what he deserves.

What else is he supposed to say?

Has there ever been a player who has come out publicly against their coach? I think they always do the PC thing in front of the camera.

Or have we forgotten this:

Of course he would say that now. He knows damn well that it does him no good to speak badly of Sloan. He also knows dam well Sloan will never coach him again.

Could you imagine this lineup with Sloan's offense:

DWill
Johnson
Carroll/Matthews type player
Boozer
Lopez

They would be very, very good. Toss in a starting SF that plays defense, does the dirty work and can hit a three, and a defensive big and that team would be top 3 in the East. Easy.
