Interesting. I didn't expect that, having in mind how much playing time he got. I guess precisely that lead the coaching staff to get a better feel of how much he can actually contribute and the final assessment was against keeping him.

Good move by DL. Jones was better than Felix, but thats not saying much. Should easily be able to find a better wing from one of the other camp rosters.

Better now, yes. Felix and Murry, if they stick, will develop in the D-League.
Definitely see this as a change, though. Both Sloan and Corbin loved to have some of those declining vets on the roster. The "vets" now are Novak and Evans.

That was KOC's rule of thumb. It won't necessarily be DL's. And remember, some of these contracts are either non-guaranteed or only partially guaranteed. The magical cut-down date is really January 10th. On that day, ALL contracts become fully guaranteed.

I'm curious about Qunicy Miller, whom Denver cut. I think he's a rotation player unless there's some hidden concern.

I don't. Nothing special athletically. Advertised as a shooter coming out, but couldn't even hit 40% in D-League.

I'm very surprised as he was getting a decent run in the preseason games and appeared to be doing find.

He couldn't handle the ball very well. PG and wings have to be able to handle the ball and he was very weak in that regard. Was average defensively, and he needed to be very good to excellent to make the team.

Cooley to our D-League team? I think he'll wind up playing NBA games somewhere this season. In reality, all these guys on the chopping block/fringe are not going to be expected to be impact players at all.

We're a solid 11-12 deep this year!

Glad Jones was the one who got cut. Watching the Clippers game was painful - he didn't do much right. Cooley was cool but I figured there would only be space for him or Motum and not both.

Leaving with class. He just wasn't a good fit with this group and never really had a chance to make an impact.

I still say Murry and Cooley make the squad.

The concern is that he can't play SF and is too skinny to play PF.
