I mean, the dude got his wish. He gets to play the 4. The Mavs are a good team. It's a big market. He gets to play with a star. Dont see any reason for him to want out.

I don't either, but if I'm trading away Luka for less than everything LA can give, I would at least want to check with him to see how he felt about it. Maybe they did, but I'm not sure based on how it went down.

I think they just see a 2-3 year window they want to try and win for. I wonder if any of this is trying to compete before Wemby/Spurs reach full power.

I think Rob and Nico are homies. I also think they really wanted AD BUT I fail to see how they couldn’t have got more even if the went to a team offering picks and young players that get rerouted for other stuff. I just also am dying they didn’t swipe Knecht or the 2031 pick… again to reroute. Lakers say no then it’s on to the next suitor. Just whiffed hard.
