I guess my point is Exum will be better than Lillard before that. IMO by the end of his third year. At that point, Exum will be 22 yrs old and Lillard will be 27. So it would be insane to give up players like Hayward or Hood to get him.

Tbh, I would trade Burks, Exum, Lyles, Burke, Booker,(that should take care of the salary) plus picks for Lillard.

I don't get why people are so concerned about a guy who scores 20 a night's defense.

You give us Carmello and we have a top 5 defense and are a top 3 team in the West. If you're a guard, have Gobert and Favors behind you and can score 25 a night, you don't play defense. You rest on that end of the court. And you compete for titles.

Players like Gobert, Hayward, Hood, Burks...those are the guys that have to play defense. Not stars.

There is a very good argument that you wouldn't trade Hayward straight up for Lillard. I know I wouldnt.

He'd be good on our team still though, because we have good post defenders.

The question is for what price.

Surely not Hayward and Exum. That's way too much.

I'd say no to Hayward, Favors, or Gobert.

I'd have to think about Exum. Am I giving away a superior player? Exum could become an astounding two player, and he's a lot bigger.

Anyone else on the team I'd throw in a trade, but within reason.
