What's new

D'Angelo

I'm telling you guys, in a new system Burke would be an astonishing offensive weapon. It's fair to judge him now since he has not met expectations but with a new club he will surprise you.

No. Trey Burke will never be more than a backup in the NBA. Anyone who still doubts that hasn't been paying attention. The only time the word astonishing should be used in regards to Trey should be when describing how badly he's getting beaten defensively.

Because they are the Lakers and are stoopid.
The Lakers are usually the ones that pulls a fast one on other teams...they fleeced Memphis and got Pau Gasol virtually for nothing. Or when they traded an aging Gail Goodrich to the Jazz in exchange for a first round pick (later used to select Magic Johnson).

Jazz traded Kanter because he was a locker room cancer.

Seems suboptimal that they would intentionally bring in another.

Front office and coaching staff seem more interested in establishing a culture first.

The Grizzlies ended up getting Marc Gasol in that deal. Not too bad if you ask me.

They'll cut Nick Young's dumb *** before they trade D'Angelo. He's an idiot but still untouchable in a trade.

For god sakes!!! Why in the hell would the lakers do that?!?! Why in the hell would the Jazz want Russell?!?! Op is dumb.

"virtually nothing?" -- 2 time allstar and defensive player of the year Marc Gasol plus two first round picks

Memphis got the short end for sure, but Pau was demanding a trade and at least they got Marc -- a GREAT prospect who panned out nicely

At the time the prevalent opinion was Marc Gasol was just trade filler and he'd probably never play in the US.

Memphis fell *** backwards into a pot of gold on that one.

I could end up being dead wrong but from what I've read on this the impression I get is Russell seems like an OK kid who just did something really dumb.

Besides, if he can give you 20/10 on any given night no one will give **** about this incident in a year and Nick Young will be an NBA foot-note.
