So 1320 Kfan has been talking about Granger for the last few days. Especially Locke, as well as posting stuff on twitter about him. I must have missed something. Is there a serious rumor about the Jazz getting Granger?

Nope, just that indy is interested in Sap. But they wouldn't trade granger for sap, if they did trade that included granger for sap it would also need to include at least one other good player from the Jazz and probably 2 and indy would then also send over one of their bigs too.

I think Sap and Granger are equal value and I don't think we would have to throw in another good player. Millsap/Bell for Granger works.

First off no they aren't. It's not a huge difference but granger is the better player.

Second, they wouldn't trade there sf for another pf when they already have a couple.

Didn't know you ran the Pacers organization.

And you do?

I'm saying what I think, whereas he is saying what the Pacers would and wouldn't do. When I say I think Millsap has about the same value as Granger, I'm thinking age, potential for improvement, contract, etc. not just scoring ability that blinds so many people. Of course, if the Pacers are going for it with the team they have, they wouldn't trade Granger anyways (my opinion, not saying that I know). But if they are looking for the future, Millsap seems like a prime PF to have while also clearing the way for Paul George, who I think has a good chance to be better overall player than Granger in a few years anyways.

Seems like Locke wouldn't spend this much talking about some potential rumor. Maybe he knows something we don't because I havnt read any reports of Granger being on the block.

Sap and Granger are almost dead on equal value once you consider the salary difference. It allows Indiana to slide George into the SF postion where he could have a breakout year. Granger fills a big need for the Jazz at SF, and gives them much needed three point shooting and floor spacing. The question is does Indiana think George is ready for full time duty? Do the Jazz think Granger is young enough to still be good when the rooks start hitting their prime.

I think their perfect trading partners, both teams have surplus at one position and dire needs at another.

Starting lineup of

Harris
Burks/Hayward
Granger
Jefferson
Favors

...could be interesting

Yes, I always thought Granger was the closest to Paul Pierce in the league. He is 28 years old and I think he has avoided any kind of significant injury.

Hayward and Granger starting side by side may be the best shooting wing duo other than Allen and Pierce.

Granger hasn't looked great in big games. He shoots alot. I like him but I don't think now is the time to get him. Last year would have been better when we were trying to keep Deron and make the playoffs. We should be going into full rebuild mode. I think I would rather take Paul George at this point.

Check his stats for his first playoff series against the best defensive team (The Bulls).

22 points on 48% shooting, 6 rebounds and 3 assist. Also 35% shooting and a little over 1 steal per game.

They lost the series 4 game to 1, but all the games were pretty close.

of course you would. Anyone without rocks in their head would take George over Granger for this Jazz team.

I, more than anybody, like speculating about trades for George.... but, alas, it isn't happening. I'm getting desperate, though, cuz right now I'd give them Millsap and the GSpick + take back Posey's contract. I'd do it.
