Dante Exum: shoulder injury

Here's the video.

Hopefully its not too bad.

Not bad at all, but I need more jazz highlights

Somebody feed me!

I do not agree. Utah will try to extend him, and they will offer him a 4 year deal. Probably something similar to what Burks got a 10 Million per. Utah isn't going to let him take the QO just to be a FA a year later.

I also think you're flat wrong that he wouldn't get any offers in FA.

Utah isnt extending him for 10 million a year. No chance in hell.

No one is going to offer Exum more than 6 million a year in RFA. And no one is going to offer him that because they know Utah will just match it. They will pursue more realistic FA options and Dante will just sit in RFA for a long *** time w/ his big cap-hold (which sucks for the Jazz). He will then have to make a decision to sign long-term w/ the Jazz on a very team friendly deal or take a QO.

ofc that changes if Dante is able to return and finishes the season strong, but I just doubt that will happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Dante's minutes arent even available once he returns with the way Burks has looked.

Ok. Well, I'll bet Utah extends him on a 4 year deal around 10 million per, maybe a little less. I'll say 8-10 per.

10 per will be a bargain it he blows up and the worse case scenario is a slight overpay. It would be different if it was another knee injury like with Jabari, but I don't believe this changes Utah's long term outlook on Dante at all.

I'm betting that Utah believes in his development as a player, even though you do not, and won't risk turning him sour by lowballing him.

I'd be glad to take a sig bet if you're that confident you're right.

They won't reach an agreement.

This is different than saying nobody will offer him anything. So which is it?

Dante would be taking a big risk to turn down an extension. Utah doesn't want a situation where Dante ends up taking the QO. They are invested in him, even though some fans are not.

10 million a year for a mediocre backup PG (all Dante has been thus far in his career) is a more than a slight overpay. No reason to give him that much money when he wont sniff an offer that high in RFA.

I've always said that the kid had all the tools to become an elite PG, but has always played scared. It sucks that the guy went down, I think that Neto has been the better of the two, I hope for the best

Nobody has ever given a **** what you said; you are awful.

When you give out a 4 year deal to a young player coming off his rookie deal, you're not always paying for what you currently think they are. You are betting on what they will become. Just as with Alec Burks, Utah was willing to overpay the first year or two with the idea that by year 3 they'd be getting a bargain or at least have a tradable contract.

Like I said, my opinion is that Utah believes in his development, even if you do not.

Hide and watch.
