David Aldridge: Jazz come to terms with Jamaal Tinsley

Just my two cents: I always thought Tinsley was a better than average NBA PG, who just didn't reach his potential. I read an article about him recently and I can't recall where that he has turned a new leaf on his career, and understands that he was always too selfish in the past, and enjoyed his time in the D-League, being a pass first point guard.

Maybe the Jazz are going to carry three point guards and Earl won't commit yet ???

KOC Needs to decided whether or not we seriously want to win or go straight into rebuilding. This isn't a winning formula. I can guarantee you that!

Really does anyone think Al Jefferson is goona lead us to a Championship. Or more importantly is this team gonna win a championship? The answer is NO!

Year after year after year after year after year this goes on. We take a step forward then 2 steps back then 3 steps side ways then 1 step forward then 2 step sidways then 3 steps back.

What a joke?

The proof is in the pudding for anyone willing to argue. Where are the rings? No excuses! We have had great talent here. But the Jazz never can close the deal because they continue play it safe

And who are the jazz going to get to win a championship? All about big markets and players own the league. I give koc props from what he has been able to do being we are in utah.

People..

Can we stick to the business of discussing the Jazz? Instead of opnion bashing, spell checking, insults, or whether or not I leave a quote.

Do you, or do you not have an opinion about basketball? What is the point of being here?

I have no opinion really. I wait for KOC to tell me what I should think.

I envy you and your opinions though - they seem well reasoned and thought out.

From Watson to Tinsley is nothing more than schuffling the deck chairs around on the Titanic. Their numbers are very similar (although Tinsley takes care of the ball a little more). I'm not in love with Watson; but if you're going to pick one why not pick the one who knows the layout.

My only guess is they could get Tinsley for the vet minimum while Watson would demand a little more.

We don't know the terms of the deal. We're not signing him to play 25 minutes a night. I really doubt KOC and company said "hey, forget Watson...we have a chance at Tinsley!" It seems that maybe Watson has not been super eager to re-sign and is trying to find a better situation for himself somewhere else.

Yes we should try and win, but come on. The backup PG or 3rd guard slot is not going to make or break the season. Settle down. I am so ready for the season to start so people can bitch about the rotations rather than which other D-league or undrafted rookie we should have signed over Tinsley.

And Freakazoid...he is the best poster on this site right now. He is on a tear. Very UB-esque. Numberica...I am starting to wonder whether Tinsley did somrething to a member of your immediate family - you have some very strong opinions of the guy (which are interesting by the way - I had forgotten most of that stuff of his past).

Yeah guys... I can't imagine this guy being any worse than Brevin Knight or Jason Hart.

... Watson will re-sign with Utah. If talk goes well, Watson could return to SLC and soon be in camp.

Tinsley's addition to Jazz doesn't remove Watson from picture. Utah has often used two backups and Tinsely's obviously got to prove himself.

Whiny lil Bitches

The ONLY reason, IMO, we didn't sign Watson has to be $$$. No way KoC would've dropped him for any other reason I can think of.

Tinsley has had his issues, but just the fact he was willing to 'lower' himself to play in the D-League says something about his heart and desire. He may be the first 10-year vet to do that. If Eric Musselman, his D-League coach, likes him, I'll roll KoC's call until proven otherwise...
