Day 1 Starting Lineup/depth chart as of right now? I can’t figure it out

I’ll be your Huckleberry!
(By numerical position 1-5)

1 Collier. Clayton. Springer/Miguel
2 Bailey. George. Tonje/Murrell
3 Lauri. Martin. Williams/Svi
4 Collins HendricksSensabaugh/Springer
5 Kessler Filipowski Crowell/Tshiebwe

Maybe not day one for Hendricks as he’s still recuperating.

If Collins is still on the roster at the start of the season, this is exactly what I would expect the lineup to look like.

Actually messed up that third string though. Supposed to read:

Miguel/Murrell
Tonje/Murrell
Williams/Mykhailiuk
Sensabaugh/Tshiebwe
Crowl/Tshiebwe
Gets us down to 18.

Hendricks cannot play SF anymore almost certainly. He's like 240 pounds and coming off a broken leg. He'll probably just play very few minutes until Lauri is traded.
Well we are going to see because if he's healthy he's probably starting. Who you want to call the 3 between him and Lauri isnt really important.

Neither can play the 3 at all and the Jazz should not really do this as they need Lauri to look good on defense to start the season to trade him. They're just going to play Hendricks 10 minutes a night the first 20-25 games until Lauri is moved.

The only reason they would play Hendricks that low of minutes is because of his injury. If he's healthy he will play, regardless of Lauri being there or not. Jazz have a weird roster so some players will play out of position. I get this is your schtick though, so have fun.

5 - Walker / Nurkic
4 - Lauri / Flip / Hendricks (min. restr.)
3 - Ace / Cody / Svi
2 - Keyonte v. Brice -- this could flip either way during camp & pre-season
1 - Collier (for now) / WCJ

- Collier is still the best guard we have at running the offense and pushing tempo for the moment. That could change over the course of the season if Walt starts to shine.
- Who starts at the 2 between Keyonte and Brice could be decided during camp or pre-season. Keyonte probably has the edge going into camp, but he needs to defend and pick his spots on offense.
- Lauri likely starts at the 4 so Ace can start at the 3. I think the Jazz give Ace the start even if his minutes are held back a bit.
- Flip can take minutes at the 5 if the goal is to space the floor, but defense is probably still holding him back.
- I think the Jazz are going to be cautious with Taylor for the first few months and bring him back slowly.
- Not sure what happens with KJ Martin. His deal is expiring, and I could see him being moved when Hendricks is ready.
- Walt, Brice, Cody and Flip are basically the 2nd unit, along with one of Hendricks, Nurkic or KJ Martin.

I’m pretty sure the franchise will implode if Hendricks and Lauri play the 3 and 4 together. The Jazz will cease to exist so can’t have that happen.

Collier
Svi
Anderson
Lauri
Nurk

are the starters. Will figure out the rest later.

I really disagree that Collier best at running the offense. He's the best at getting downhill and making a play off penetration, but I dont see him as a guard who is stewarding the offense for others. If anything he kind of prevents the offense from being ran as he doesnt have to be guarded at all.

My prediction ~0-20 games into the season:

PG: Collier / WCJ
SG: Brice / Keyonte (interchangeable) / Ace
SF: Kyle / Ace
PF: Lauri / Taylor
C: Kessler / Nurkic

20+ games into the season:

PG: Walt / Collier
SG: Brice / Keyonte
SF: Ace / Kyle
PF: Lauri / Taylor
C: Kessler / Nurkic

We will SUCK, no doubt, but this should be a fun team to watch. Young, talented, and play the game with some spunk.

These are some ****** teams. Looks like OKC took Favors for nothing. If not for this pick being protected we need a top 3 record so OKC can’t take the pick if not I wouldn’t want a top 3 pick as they seem to have a better chance of moving down
