Deal close for Houston's Robinson (Jazz possibly in the mix)

Per ESPN Insider:

Houston is reportedly on the verge of completing a deal that will ship out the No. 5 pick of the 2012 draft, Thomas Robinson, and further clear out cap space to offer a max deal to a prized free agent like Dwight Howard.

Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle reports this morning that the Rockets "are in advanced talks" on a deal for Robinson and, per one source, a deal is potentially "imminent."
....

Teams that might be offering the pick to Houston include the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

I hope it's us. I'd gladly give the #14 for the #5 (and a chance at Oladipo or McLamore for taking on Thomas Robinson' s contract. Robinson as our third big is probably as good of an option as we'll find. Maybe he's not worthy of his #5 pick but I think he could be a roll player off the bench.

With the new cba, do we have the cap room right now to do this? I know we will July 1st or whatever.. Just curious.

I think we're reading this wrong, folks. IINM, we don't get the #5 pick in THIS draft AND Robinson. Robinson was the #5 pick in the 2012 draft. So the Jazz would give up our pick? and get back Thomas Robinson. who was a 3-year college player and had an absolutely horrible rookie season.

Why would we give them a first round pick considering that Robinson was traded to the Rockets for trash? He did nothing in his limited time in Houston to suddenly boost his asking price.

I'll give a second rounder for him.

Something is fishy

We gotta plant a mole/worm/wtv into the Utah Jazz FO, and get him/her to relay information back to Jazzfanz.

hahaha

Why would we help the Rockets obtain Dwight Howard and only get Robinson in return?

Is Isiah Thomas our GM now? At the same time, lets give up Kanter and Hayward to the Lakers for Jamison or Steve Blake. Just because.... Giving up good players for nothing is apparently our strategy now.
