I feel like we aren’t talking about keyontes 29 and 10 enough maybe we are just getting used to it but I think he has proven everyone wrong who said he can’t be a point guard I think he actually play a lot better when playing on the ball he is by far my favorite player on this team and has been since his rookie summer league hence my profile picture

Good grief man don't be such a hysterical crybaby. The only mediocrity treadmill is the string of $2 hookers @Rubashov is making his way through down at Ackland St
Couldn't get him to give you that extra $3, round it to a fiver, huh?

If we end up in that position we dont lose our pick for sure. There is still a draft lottery and teams jump up frequently, in fact more teams have jumped to #1 from pretty much every position than worst place. There are also ways to improve the team outside of getting extremely lucky in the draft.
It's cute that you still think the draft is random.

I dont. But I think we are more likely to move up in the draft winning a handful of games and being closer to play in than we are blantanly tanking and making the league look bad and pissing them off. That isnt likely to be a #1 pick since it never has been and likely never will be, but we can get a 2,3,4th once in awhile. Well I guess we did get the #1 pick once, but the league took it away in one of the most blantant disregard for any team ever.

That's right, it's obviously rigged.

The league made sure that blue chippers like Zion, Morant, Paolo, Luka, Evan Mobley, Ant and LaMelo were picked by existing NBA powerhouses, massive markets where the lights are the brightest.

They hate the Utah Jazz. They will never allow any success here.

It's all somebody else's fault.

My theory is that we would do best to end outside the bottom 8. The league wouldn't want OKC to get our pick so they get even better, especially when they have the Clippers pick too, so they'll have to let us jump and pick top 4.

This was pretty much the first game where we tried to tank very blatantly. Sitting Nurk with a bogus injury, "resting" Love (averaging 14mpg), inserting the empty husk of Cody Williams into the game at a critical juncture in the 3rd quarter, giving real minutes to Hendricks, letting a 100% washed Slo-Mo run the offense and hunt for his own shots... but thankfully it wasn't enough, Lauri and Keyonte made sure of that.

It's simply not possible to be "bad enough" when you have two guys playing 30+ minutes at a legit All-Star level. God knows we tried.

Random thoughts:

- Loved Keyonte's passing in this game. He gave up the ball without hesitation when it made sense, but never forced anything. One of the best PG games I've seen from him. Pretty good defense too, which is always a surprise.

- No Nets player was willing to throw their body in front of Markkanen when he kept steamrolling to the rim for angry dunks. That's a tanking team for you. A culture of losing, a culture of avoiding responsibility, a culture of taking the easy way out.

- Collier needs to find a floater. He can't finish at all if there's a defender anywhere in the vicinity of the rim. Those weak layups don't work.

- Watching Cody play is torture.

- We've won 3 of our last 4!! Love it.
