Hardy isn’t getting the max out of his team if he doesn’t coach to get the ball more often to his best player. Lauri hardly touched the ball in the third quarter even when he was open for passes. This happens way too often in our games. Kessler is still raw but fun to watch. The bucket of the game definitely belonged to THT. I hope we get Sexton back for tomorrow’s game. Might be still too early.

Our defense is so bad we really have to have a good offensive game to win. The Cavs mostly played tight defense, but we also missed some open shots.

Early returns on the Vando and Kessler lineup is not encouraging. Kessler needs to play with 4 other guys that can spread the floor and with KO and Sexton out it's difficult to put that many guys on the court that defenses have to respect.

If it is so freaking difficult for Hardy and other Jazz coaches to get best out of Lauri every game
then why in the hell Hardy won't take consultation phone-call for Lassi Tuovi ( Lauri's national team coach ) and ask him how to use Lauri effectively.

Sometimes watching this Jazz team is almost same than watching Jim Boylen's Chicago Bulls into Lauri's 2nd and 3rd years.
And believe or don't that was brutal to watch. Oh well tomorrow is new game vs Pistons so perhaps that's a win hopefully

I love the connection between Mike and Lauri. A lot of pass from Mike are for him. We shoot bad and rebound bad, no other reason to this loss. Maybe the guy didn't go 100% knowing Cavs were too good. And keep energy for tomorrow which is a much more winning game.

The actual issue is not holding JC accountable for his 2nd half hero ball. Coach has no cojones to lecture him like he did for Collin. JC is Utah icon and older so nothing changes. He goes his ways and the team is getting worse each month if its not changing.

Clarkson is averaging 4.5 more shots per game than Lauri this month. That is less than ideal.

I don't know. Jazz had Conley in that PG role although it seemed the ball was more in Donovan's hands.
I think part of it is Don is trying to prove a point in Cleveland and actually trying on defense which he didn't do here the last few seasons.

The Jazz did that.

Granted Garland is a better backcourt mate than Don ever had in Utah. So maybe that is relevant. But I think overall Don just had a natural year to year progression combined with added motivation. Dont think Cleveland is doing anything special to unlock more of Donovan that Utah didnt do.

The shooting percentage by the Cavs was out of this world and we got outrebounded a ton. These last two games were royal buttkickings.

Actually, we won over 75% of our defensive boards (20 DREB to their 4 OREB) and over 25% of the boards in their end (15 OREB to 40 DREB). Its just a weird game where there was 55 rebounds in the Cavs end due to our poor shooting and only 24 in our end due to their good shooting. Against the Bucks we just lost on the effort and energy. This time we got blown out in the efficiency department.
